2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A light amber body with a white head that faded away quickly. Elevated level of carbonation present. Aroma was a mix of caramel and corn, flavor was too. Light palate. Really not much going on, but not a bad beer.
12 oz. bottle. Poured an unfiltered amber with a nice white head. Taste of caramel malts, sweet pale malts and light molasses. Lively carbonation, medium body. Pretty damn good for a premium lager. unclemike (3170) - Junction City Kansas, Kansas, USA - JUL 24, 2015
Decent amber pour w/ a good tan head that leaves lacing. Aroma is straight malt. Taste is also dominated by malt but finishes rough & not clean. Not very good! jackl (8301) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2014
Sample @ Great Arkansas Beer Fest. Copper pour with a small head. Husky grain and grass. Honey. Pretty neutral. Similar flavor. Taste is similar. Sweet grain, bread. Light apple crisp. Light body, active carbonation. hayduke (5616) - Eureka, California, USA - DEC 19, 2014
From a friend. Almost positive this came from the Beer of the Month Club. Pours amber with a beige head. Medium body. Nose is malts. Flavor is malts and some bitter hops. Flavor and bitter finish. Perfectly OK. Travlr (25876) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 21, 2014

Had at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival 2014. Pours a hazy amber color with a nice head. Biscuit and maltiness are forward. Slightly sweet. Decent beer. Beachmaster (582) - Oklahoma, USA - JUL 19, 2014
12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear light copper, with a small head that rapidly fades, leaving fair lacing. No noticeable nose, and a slightly malty, very faint taste. Watery, not much there. JDBaker11058 (2336) - Maryland, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Appearance: clear copper, with a quickly fading light tan head and no lacing. Aroma: toasty, caramel malts, light toffee, hint of cola. Taste: sweet, toasty malts, caramel, light molasses, warm brown bread. Finish: ends with a pleasant, earthy, mellow hops that balance the lingering sweet toast. Notes: Some confusion. Bottle says ’66 American Amber Lager’. Not sure if this is their ’Route 66 American Lager’ or their ’Amber Lager’. Either way, it’s darn good. Comparable to, but better than, Yuengling.

Bottle thanks to Trevor. Pours golden clear copper with rapidly settling off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, toffee, lightly nutty, and quite sweet. Flavor is sweet up front, toffee/caramel. Mild and straightforward, but less offensive than your typical premium lager. Moderate carbonation, light body. z_man (1) - - MAY 16, 2014 does not count
Aroma - A little off-putting. Buttery toast with a whiff of creamed corn notes - A little unpleasant.
Appearance - Bright copper color with nice white head that dissipated quickly and left a thin lace on the glass.
Taste - Malty sweetness dominated by toast and butter. Did not detect much caramel flavor by my palate. Finished up reasonably dry.
Palate - A little thin for a malty beer.
Overall - If I were sampling based on aroma I would have passed. This is not a beer I would come back to after my original tasting.
