Waving wheat sure smells sweet, and nothing says O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A better than a crisp, refreshing, wheat beer. Brewed with Oklahoma Red Wheat, American and European barley, and Cluster and German Hallertauer hops. 5.3% ABV and 14 IBUs. Developed by our good friend and award-winning home brewer of 25 years, Gary Shellman. This may very well be the perfect wheat beer. Washita Wheat will be available in six packs and on tap at select locations.

Light golden color with a diminishing white head. Light caramel and maple syrup scents. Light sweetness with a touch of marshmallows, including the corn starch coating. Hints of light fruit. A light American wheat ale. 1/11

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear straw yellow color with a small white top. Taste of citrus, bread, wheat, with a metallic finish. Medium carbonation, thin watery body.

From the beer of the month club I think. Given to me by a friend. Pours a clear gold color with a good sized white head. Light lacing. Nose of wheat, pale malt, and grassy hops; Light in body. Smooth in the mouth. Flavor is mild and there is a faint tinge of grassy and citrus hops. Finished dry. Not a lot going one here.

Sample @ Great Arkansas Beer Fest. Deep gold pour with a small head. Some banana and apple. Marshmallow. Some wheat. Similar flavor. Light marshmallow sweetness. White bread. More apples. Sort of uninteresting.

Bottle at a bricktown bar. Clear gold beer, no lacing, small head, strange for the style (supposed to be a wheat beer, yeah?). Slight aroma, nothin that good from the beginning, nothing off though. Not a great taste really just bland, and pretty unimpressive. Thin on the mouthfeel. Not a strong recommendation.

Not an exciting beer. Light wheat aroma and grassy notes. Normal off-yellow average beer color with a white head. Watery palate with decent carbonation. Its a light wheat beer. Wheat and pale malt notes with a slight hint of bitterness. Its easy to drink with a burger but not exceptional.

Draft. Hazy yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of lightly spiced lemon. Taste is bready citrus bubblegum.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Poured a clear yellow, with a very small white head which rapidly faded and left no lacing. No nose to speak of, and not much flavor, if any. Bland, flavorless lawnmower beer. Ugh.

Light golden color. Aroma is of wheat, malts, slight prune and a little grape. Flavor is of sweeter malts, dark fruits, wheat and yeast. Leaves a sweeter malt finish.
