Draft… Cajun Café on the Bayou Sour Festival 2012… Lightly hazed white ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Excellent retention. The restrained bouquet is a touch yeasty and bready with hints of smoked almonds and maple syrup. Medium-bodied with modest carbonation. The flavor, although somewhat acidic, is sweeter than Rapp’s other Berliners. Suggestions of maple syrup, smoked almonds and smoked meat are offered here. Finishes sweet and mapley. Odd bird, this one. Not a fan.

On tap at the Sour Fest, poured a light yellowish color with aromas of smoke, bacon and some light funk. Flavors are the same, interesting beer, would like to try again, just not with other sours around.

At Cajun cafe on the Bayou sour festival. Bacon and sour an interesting combination. This one doesn’t work nearly as well as the lichtenhaier. Tasty Berliner base but doesn’t quite meld together completely.
