Bottle pour, plastic cup at winter fest Boston. Dark, clear pour with caramel colored head. Great Belgian aroma, smooth palate with medium carbonation. Great sugar aftertaste. Great beer!

750ml bottle. Clear, brown-ish amber colour with ruby glimmer and small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Dusty, yeasty aroma, spicy hints of marmite. Taste dusty yeasty, fruity, notes of red berries; spicy yeasty finish.

Bottleshare at Matteo’s. Thanks to Leighton. Clear reddish amber beer, tidy pale tan head, short lived. Smooth sweetish malts, a little malt cream. Oaky sweetness. Oaky soft floral red berries. Smooth berry fruits finish. Rather nice.
Halloween 2016 - Bottle share at Matteo’s spilt coffee tasting. Thanks Leighton! As ’Mystic Day of Doom’, 12%. Very dark brown, no real head. Aroma is boozy, oxidised, rhubarb tart. Caramel malt vinegar, tangy raspberry. Flavour is composed of jammy fruits, brown sugars, lacto, maple, malt vinegar, Ramsbury. Palate is medium sweet, moderate carbonation, sticky sugars. Aroma is sweet and caramelly with notes of booze mixed nuts and dates. Taste is also sweet and rich with notes of dates mixed nuts and dates. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Bottle shared in London - picked up in the US. Aged a couple years. Pours clear coppe-ruby with a creamy, khaki head. The aroma holds some butterscotch, aged berries, creamy toffee, berries. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with chewy malts, toffee, ripe berries, figs. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation and oily texture. Warming finish, sticky and sweets with more ripe berries, cherry, toffee, dates. A fun quad.
