A very unique, good tasting beer. Pours an absolutely beautiful deep red with tan head. Smells of chocolate covered raspberries, and some molasses. Taste is extremely creamy, but very light for a dark beer. More chocolate covered raspberries, with a hint of kriek in the aftertaste. Had on tap at the Trappist. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 14, 2014

Dark brown with large frothy tan head. Aroma coffee and roasted malts. Medium body. Not really any alcohol. Flavor sweet up front, with dry but not bitter finish. Some chocolate and dark fruits. Not bad, a bit on the thin side but with some interesting flavors and the dry finish really helps the drinkability. ScipioA (405) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - APR 27, 2014
It’s got an opaque black body with a orange/brown head on top. The aroma is fairly plain stout - roasty and a little bit of alcohol wafting up. The flavor shows off some of the odd yeast that Mystic uses, but with too much of a charred malt profile for my tastes. Amazing thick mouthfeel made even better by creamy dense head that reminds me of a super dense cappuccino foam.

Pours clear reddish brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate and slightly dry finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
Bottle, 75cl corked. An almost clear one, reddish dark brown in color and with a dense, two-finger light beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is quite roasted, with toffee hints and dried fruits. Some dark sugar too. It’s roasted and toffee-ish in the flavor, with dried fruits and sugary sweetness. Full body and a nice carbonation level, soft on the palate. A pretty decent one although a tad too sweet and lacking on complexity. 140301 Rasmus40 (20649) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2014
