September 2016 - Bottle share at Maison Leighton, as ’Mystic Hazy Jane’, 6.0%. Thanks to our host for this! Amber, ’tis hazy as promised, sparkling, big foamy off-white head. Aroma is dusty, dried mint leaf, apple peel. Body is spritzy, frothy. Taste is dusty apple peel, spearmint, sodawater with a dry finish. OK – quite washed out. Draft sample at the source. The beer is a cleqr yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma has cofonut and lime. Tastes like key lime pie. Dry in the finish. Moderately sweet. Light body and medium to high carbonation. This is a standout beer. madmitch76 (25344) - , Essex, ENGLAND - OCT 3, 2016

Leighton’s flat clearance. Thanks to Leighton. Hazy paleish gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and soft but has decent carbonation. Soft malts, light cream. Nice light Sorachi touch. Floral citrus. Light generic fruits. Semi dry finish. Pleasant.

Bottle shared during Random Garbage. Pours clear gold with a lively, white froth. The nose holds pale grains, wheat, lemon. Medium sweet flavour with some dough, yeast, crackers, honey. Medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Sweet finish, more crackers, dried dough, yeast, ripe lemon. Not bad. Scopey (15441) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 19, 2016
Bottle big thanks to LKS. It pours clear rich gold with a thick white head. The aroma is grassy, grainy, bready, light menthol, straw, light spice, pear, apple, gooseberry, white grape skin, and melon. The taste is crisp, dry, spicy, hay, straw, grass, pear, apple, melon, gooseberry and white pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Pretty ok, but no game - changer. 750 ml bottle from Bottleworks.
Unsurprisingly, yellow pour with a white head. Soft spices and a bit of mandarin citrus on the aroma. The flavor is not tart, but relatively dry with substantial tripel inflections. Quite tasty and easy to drink. Fine but abundant carbonation. Rustic isn’t the word that comes mind here at all; it’s not a dusty wild field-saison; the drama comes more from the hops than usually though it’s not a hoppy beer. But the whole thing works. Tasty and rewarding to the palate for the full 750. And holy crap -- is there really good beer coming out of Boston now?
