3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This is a first, 12.68 oz c&c bottle, hmmm looks like the RR and Lost Abbey bottles, have they been misleading us? Either way poured into a plastic hotel cup because I am in a hotel in Woburn, MA. Big pop of the cork with an all head pour, stupid plastic cup. After a few tries I get beer in there. Thick medium clarity dull golden colour (yeah, I am going Canadian on this one) with a pillow of cloudy foam. Thick ass lacing. I will take Dany’s line and say this is a "comfortable" saison. Its good on all accounts but a little too much esters, just a tad too sweet, at times a tad blunted as well. But the nose has a nice rustic character and pretty straight forward saison. But I am in Pretty Things country, so I need some more jena se qua from my saisons.
375ml bottle @ Alex’s. Pours a cloudy straw colour with a white head. Nose is yeasty, estery, and light citrus note. Flavour is bubble gum, Belgian yeasty character, spices, and finishes with a mild bitterness. PorterPounder (8081) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUN 8, 2017
Tallahassee, Fl - Market Square Liquors - 375 ml bottle. Hazy, medium orange pour, soft, silky snow white head, a bit of lacing. Aroma has some spicy saffron-notes. some grassiness. Full-bodied fruity flavor, pick up some slight sour notes, some coriander spiciness, some bitter hoppy goodness. Nice, thick rich mouthfeel. Pretty solid. Bottle from table and Vine. Pours cloudy and yellow with an inch of white foam. Leaves a lot of lacing and there’s also a lot of yeast from the bottle conditioning. Nice barnyard and hop notes on the nose. Clean and crisp on the tongue with a nice amount of funk as well. Nice! rejtable (2766) - Ontario, CANADA - MAR 6, 2017
Bottle from stillwell. Pours cloudy straw lots of head and lacing. Nose is funky and lemon. Flavours of lemon and skunk. Taste med bitter light sweet. medium body lively carbonation. Quick3Beers (1264) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 20, 2017
Pours a surprisingly dark amber from a bottle, thick white head retains. Aroma of lemons, flavor is yeasty and sweet. Not as strong of an acidic bite as some can be. Good beer.

Hazy golden color, white head with good retention. Aroma is slightly citrus with yeasty hints. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, light fruitness, yeast and light bitterness in the final. Flowery aftertaste. muzzlehatch (4963) - Beloit, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 26, 2016
375 ml bottle from Our Daily Bread in Chatham, NY, served at cellar temp in a Duvel glass. Big-ish fluffy white head diminishes with some speed over a hazy medium-to-pale gold body....mostly sweet floral aroma - honesuckle and lilac - a bit of pepper, dry herbs (tarragon), grasses, faint doughy yeast...the body is drier than I might expect, in fact very very dry with a fairly biting bitterness and almost an acrid character coming through as it warms, though it is kept in check through the softness and suppleness of the thick malt character in the body...lots of mineral notes, sparkling and tingly carbonation. While I can’t quite say that this gets to the level of "exciting", it’s close, and definitely comes off as one of the more authentic, dry and enjoyable American saisons I’ve had lately. djd07 (15094) - Houston, Texas, USA - DEC 22, 2016
Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, pepper, spice. Medium body, yeast, spice, light dry finish, good. Bacterial (3005) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - NOV 22, 2016
Green bottle that I picked up in the summer shared with some friends. Pale, clear yellow with a fluffy white head. Really nice nose, almost a hint of smoke, funk, Brett goodness. Dry finish, bitter, funky. Very interesting. willisread (3395) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Bottle pour at Shelton Brothers. Clean crackery malt nose with lemon zest and good fruit esters. Classic saison yeast nose. Peppery finish. Simple and elegant, yet one of my favorite saisons from the Festival.
