Black pour with a beige head and very light sticky lacing ...... aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, nougat, dark fruity yeast, licorice ..... taste is of licorice, dark fruity yeast, molasses, chocolate, nougat, roasted malts and coffee .... has a slick and oily mouthfeel ..... bitter, dark fruity yeast, vinous tastes almost like it was aged in a wine barrel .... dry with lots of lingering dark fruit and licorice .... sweet and roasted finish ..... solid offering

Bottle - This one comes off as very boozy and bitter, which isn’t doing it for me, unfortunately, but your mileage may vary.

Bottle from Table and Vine. Pours black with a thin khaki head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Lots of dark chocolate and roast on the nose and tongue. Hides it’s booze well. A fair amount of bitterness on the finish. Solid.

From the corked caged 375 ml bottle with no batch number listed. The pour is dark brown to jet black with a small mocha head and lacing. The aroma emits dark roasted malts, raisins, tobacco, dark fruit, and a boozy quality. Bold but smooth body. The taste seems boozier than the aroma and that overtakes the dark malts, dark fruits, and raisins from the nose. This would cellar beautifully for about 5 years.

Bottle. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has strong roasted malts with a light smokiness and a decent amount of dark grains. Flavor has a combination of roasted malts and earthy smoke with some dark grains backing.

375 ml bottle purchased at Mystic about two weeks ago. No Batch number or bottle dating. Thin tan head that produces a ring on a pitch black liquid. Aroma is dark chocolate, yeast and mild roast.

Flavor has a multi-grain base with a light peppery yeast. Light caramel, vanilla and cocoa. Fairly strong amount of molasses with a texture that drys the palate. Carbonation is soft and smooth that produces a velvet like mouthfeel, dry and smooth. Body is as it should be, full and thick. Another nicely crafted beer from Mystic.

Bottle from Rosey, thanks sis. Pours dark and thick. Nice brown head. Aroma is malt and sugar. Caramel? Nice chocolate in the front, no alcohol on the back. This is well done. Would definitely recommend this.

750 ml bottle shared with the group. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, anise, this does not have the body or bigger roasted malts that I like, good, but lacking in some ways.
