Cask gravity @ GBBF 2016. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty caramel chocolate aroma. Roasted malty caramel and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel and chocolate finish.

On tap at Underground. Pours a deep brown with cola tones with a medium sized tan head. Roast on the nose, chocolate, cocoa, fruity. Medium bodied, chocolate, cocoa, and some fruity notes again. Odd but I like it. Fruity, roast, chocolate, cocoa into the finish. Slow bitterness. Tasty stuff.

As a global traveller, I am familiar with ’the hum’, a disconcertingly low key sonic intrusion of machine over nature, in odd and seemingly isolated parts of the world, though mainly oceanside (Thank you, U.S. Navy, probably). I’m also familiar with the smell and taste of burnt toast, which are prominent in this brew. When roasty goes burnt toasty. Draft to taster in a flight at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a dark cola brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have roasted malts, dark chocolate, some dark fruit character, some sweetness, smooth, earthy bitterness, solid porter.
