Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma of wheat, belgian yeast, black pepper and a touch of funk. Taste is grainy wheat, sweet malt, black pepper with a touch of funk. A bit too sweet for a saison. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - DEC 26, 2014
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking hazy golden orange to yellow color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There was some light lacing sticking and then sliding down into the beer.
The smell had a bready sweet yeasty blueberry.
The taste was basically the same as the smell with a light sticky sweet blueberry blended bready aftertaste. A light sweet sticky wet finish enters in at the end.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. I didn’t find this one too sessionable but it wasn’t necessarily a sipper either. Different, definitely.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good saison which is what the bottle said on it. I’d have it again. JBPortland (1557) - Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA - JUL 14, 2014
750ml bottle pours dark hazy orange with small head. Nose is dusty yeast, aspirin, vitamins, light grape notes, grain. Taste is similar with dry dusty Flintstones vitamins and chalky aspirin, some light fruity notes. Finish is dry grain, light fruit, subtle yeast funk. Weird one. czar (9334) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 5, 2014

My Bottom Line:Marheb (5985) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 27, 2014
This overtly fruity brew whips up cobbler impressions halfway through, while honeyed sugars are balanced out by well placed hoppiness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the misty blond.
-The aroma is poignantly fruity. If you are not into it, you’ll get tired of this beer quickly.
-Mouthfeel is silky.
-The fruitiness gets tiresome after a while.
On tap at The Prohibition Pig.
Bottle @ The HUGE Tasting. Thanks to whoever brought this along. The pour’s gold with a small head. Somewhat farty yeasty nose. Berry tang. Some honey. The taste is mandarin and citrus. Some honey and banana. Medium body, soft carbonation. OK. A bit flabby.
