A full flavoured, full bodied, old fashioned London style porter. At 50p a can, this beer is a plesent surprise for a Londoner marooned in China. Pleasant, drinkable and full of character. Don’t expect much of a head though.
One word of warning, the untrained pallet probably wont appreciate this little Chinese gem, only buy in bulk if you like a nice porter. olio (10552) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2015

Pours dark ruby red color with a minimal head. Very dry roasted coffee on the nose, some dark berries too, maybe faint cocoa powder. Very sweet and dry cocoa flavor, some dark, some creme brulee too. Quite unique brew, not what I would have expected from a can.
Canned@wPBFIII. Deep ruby red colour, not much head. Aroma is coffee, some roasted, coffeeish and toasted noted. Flavour is coffee, toffee, roast and some slight something-like-treat-me-like-bitterness to it. Manslow (1855) - Warsaw, POLAND - FEB 3, 2016
Puszka 0,33l Giełda Warszawa 01.2016. Kolor ciemnobrązowy, klarowne, przebłyski rubinowe.Piana znikoma, lekkie ślady na szkle. Aromat kawy palonej i nuty kakao, to samo w smaku, wytrawne ale przebija lekka słodycz w tle, dobre piwo bo 13 (trzynastka) a chińskie piwa niestety wodniste. To zaskakuje pozytywnie. laiti (8514) - Tampere, FINLAND - JAN 2, 2015

Aroma is rather neat with coffee and truffle. Flavour has rather artifical chocolate tones and cardboard. Feels watery. Odd stuff, not sure if I like this or not.
Can drank in hotel I’m Hotan ,Xinjiang. Nice chocolate flavor with a smooth body. Quite good actually. asedzie (832) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 1, 2017
Can in Shanghai. Pours respectably Average dark lager, a bit of coffee, some candy-like caramel. Not overwhelmingly sweet as others have noted- maybe they changed the recipe? No ruinous off-flavors. Rating with respect to the limited field of dark beers available east of the Emba river. When you are living in Shanghai longterm outside of the tourist quarters this is a gift, at least this is readily available and is not brewed from cornstarch like most of the 20 cent lagers. Can 50 cl. Courtesy of my cousin Martin. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue with a rough beige head. Sweet roast in the nose with a little vanilla. Medium body, sweet roast and vanilla with a lightly metallic touch. A little licorice too and a not overly clean malt bill. Hardly any bitterness. But decently drinkable. 230511 saxo (19523) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - JUL 5, 2014
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are artificial coffee candy, chocolate, molasses, fruits, roast malt, caramel and hops. Sweet finish.
