Draught at brew pub. Pale gold with big frothy head. Aroma as fruity hops, some biscuit. Some hops come through in the flavour, but not enough. Too much yeast. Not as dry a finish as I hope for in a pilsner.

maekchu (4054) - Hirakata, JAPAN - APR 17, 2017
Bottle from Liquor Mountain. Light fruity nose, with pale malt, grain, touch of citrus, and some yeast. Deep gold color. Grain, fair bittering, cereal, slight sour note, and substantial bitterness int he finish. Thin-medium body. Not as overwhelmingly yeasty as many of their beers.

Westkyoto77 (640) - Kyoto, JAPAN - AUG 30, 2014
Draught at the brewpub with Tomo. Dark for a pils, with rich, fruity, almost caramel nose. Grains and toast, some nice flavours came out as it warmed. Pretty good stuff.

Light golden with some orange hints with white head. Grass, flowers, malt, bananas, apple. Crispy, medium bitter hops, malt, grain, rice, Cerial . Yeast aftertaste. Leaves my mouth feeling sour and dry.

Sweetish Pilsener that is pretty authentic to the Bohemian variant on blond lager. Surprisingly intense but obviously using a lager yeast.

Dark golden color. Caramel and oranges are very prominent in the nose. Smooth mouth. Very easy to drink. Lingering toasted malts. Very drinkable.Caramel, mildly bitter finish.

On tap at the brewery. Bridging on an amber color. Light malt aroma with good fruit and hops. Turned to biscuity cereals as it warmed. Good malt flavor, buttery, biscuits, cereal. Good fruitiness and medium or better hops. Very yeasty, with a bit too strong of a signature. Decently dry finish, hops low but ok bitterness. Decent, but had to warm a bit to get the malt character going.
