My least favorite offering of theirs thus far. Just a weirdly bland but slightly off tasting IPA. Perhaps not fair that a few days before I drank a fresh Sip of Sunshine that my GF had brough back from home but hey, when you come within five thousand miles of the king you best not miss. UPDATED: OCT 26, 2016 6% mini-glass at Nagisa Beer Dining at lunch. A copper gold pour with a light beige foamy head which clings to the glass. Very nice spicy fruity aroma with grapefruit, grape & tropical fruit notes-very appetizing! Another full bodied beer, good malty body with hints of caramel, a mild bitter bite & some hop fruity notes. A milder less in your face IPA but quite good. TimE (6176) - Tokyo, JAPAN - OCT 30, 2013
At night, I had a glass which in the low light had a more reddish tint & the head was a slightly darker looking beige. The aroma was fruity with a bit more of a wine like character to it. Full-bodied, the flavor was malt at first then it segwayed into a mildly acerbic bitter & fruity finish.
tons of apricots, moderate bitterness, well balanced. Fairly unique due to the apricots. Nice KyotoLefty (10730) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUN 29, 2012
Draught at Q-Brick. Nice spicy hop aroma, grassy, hay, pine, caramel. Big caramel flavor, quite sweet, grassy hops, and a nice, bitter, peppery finish. Decent. Well balanced, though really quite like a malty ESB.
