UPDATED: DEC 4, 2017 330 ml bottle. Appears opaque black, with a moderate but transient head of sticky tan froth. Aromas are subdued, especially when cold, but there are roasted malts, chocolate and a little coffee. Taste is similar, sweet mixed with bitter in the finish, roasted dark malts, and chocolates mainly. Some carbonation sting, but smooth and medium bodied mouthfeel overall. Black, almost opaque colour in the glass. A hint of coffee in the nose but not much else. Strong chocolate flavour to begin with which develops into intense coffee. Thick, creamy feel mouth feel. Muggus69 (2845) - Yarram, Vic, AUSTRALIA - FEB 1, 2017
330mL bottle from Booze Bud. BB 30/08/17
Deep opaque black body, holds a creamy dark tan head.
Doesn’t give away much on the nose straight up - roasty, burnt toast sort of notes, black coffee.
Surprisingly medium bodied, drying roastiness, some smoothness/slickness from the oats but not much.
Palate reveals notes of chocolate, black coffee, licorice, browned cereals/oats/bread crust sort of thing happening. Dry finish, lingering roasty note, moderate-high bitterness.
Pretty good - a more "session-style" stout, despite it’s strength and oatmealiness. wrlangin (230) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - APR 16, 2016

Draught at Hoo Ha bar, Southbank, Brisbane. Poured an opaque black with a ruby edge tint, 5mm of light tan foamy head that diminished slowly and laced OK. Carbonation low. Aroma subtly of light and slightly sweet malt. Taste very nice of sweet malt with strong roasted grain, hint of coffee, chocolate and possible smoke. Medium body, a bit thin for a stout. Smooth and creamy with a fading subtle bitterness on the finish. Very nice. jonas (8625) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - NOV 21, 2015

Don’t know why but wasn’t expecting to much from this and was pleasantly surprised. The booziness shines through the lovely smooth chocaletiness. Possibly slightly too sweet. varanid99 (1443) - AUSTRALIA - JUL 10, 2015
Almost black pour with a thin, quickly fading tan head. Sweetish, roasty, cocoa and a little liquorice on the nose. Taste is sweetish, dark chocolate, roast, coffee. Nice
