ChrisOs Kook Tasting. Had a few by this one! Light sweet dark malt. Not bad but a little dry. Banana aftertaste.
Dark brown, nice head. Aroma hints at a rich, fudgey balanced brew. Full body, creamy and delicious. Sweet accent, just enough hop. Really nice stout. Camons (13326) - Hasselager, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2017
Draught @ The Local Taphouse, Sydney, Australia. Pours black with huge brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, light dark chocolate. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, roast malt, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate. Medium body, soft carbonation, dry and light bitter finish. 100317 DuffMan (10667) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - APR 21, 2009
Bottle. Very dark brown, thin brown cap. Aromas of soy sauce and coffee. Burnt malt bitterness, rich and robust coffee and chocolate flavours. Bitter dry finish. Surprised that this is categorized as a sweet stout, but delicious nonetheless. jonas (8035) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 21, 2015

i have to agree score-wise with my afghani co-rater. pretty black, light lagery texture, chocolate cake dough aroma. some rum'n'raisin flavour in there, the dark malts are quite subdued. a shame it has lost its briefly-held status as the world's best stout MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2010
A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s Kook Fest tasting.mkel07 (6406) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - FEB 28, 2013
Black body with a good tan head. A nice chocolate fronted stout with a good hit of roasty coffee and a strangely floral note. And erm... that’s it. Nice enough, just doesn’t do much.
330ml bottle from Archive Beer Boutique. Perfect beer for this wet and rainy Friday afternoon. Pours midnight black, thick like oil. Deep crackling brown crest of foam. Aromas of bitter chocolate and roasted malt. Smooth and very drinkable with a long finish. Very good beer. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2009
Bottle at chris_o’s "smash Kook’s granny tasting". Alround rating: Sweet roasty maly, bit of chocolate, syrupy yet thin(that doesnt make sence), near no hop. But a nice drink. stevoj (5586) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 8, 2015
Small, but dense beige head on the pour. Subdued aroma leads into mild sweet stout territory, very creamy, more milk chocolate than dark. Very gentle dark roast grains here, nothing biting or lingering.
