Two pints at the brewpub. Big fan. At first it’s a little underwhelming. A bit ligh bodied for an ipa but as you’re palate adjusts it turns into something suprisingly sessionable and tastey. Orange and passion fruit hops. Mild caramel malt balance. No alcohol detection and the usual hopwrecking bitterness is nonexistant. My favorite, and to be honest only, naked city IPA that I’ve had. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - MAR 11, 2012
Draft at ncbc. Pours a murky dark bronze with scant faint bubbles. Mild orange and caramel nose. Watery medium body. Needs some bubbles top to bottom. Caramel, toast, and oranges on the mid palate. Mild finish. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 12, 2010
Light on the nose, somewhat toasty with a very light sweet characteristic and some earthy hop notes too. Pours chill hazy amber with a thinnish head. Lots of toasted malt, some caramel, and a mild hop bitterness. Light lingering malty sweetness. Smooth mouthfeel, easy drinker. Seems more like an amber to me, but listed as pale ale. Well made, no flaws.
