Draught at the brewpubbu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2011
Dark mahogany color, with a steady creamy head. The aroma of caramel is quite nutty, a bit woody and smokey, nice; it truly reminds of some Belgian ale. The flavor of caramel is less interesting, there is a strong presence of roasted nuts; the body is slimmer than expected; it has correct bitterness.
(Draught) Pours a clear brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma of raisins, earth, caramel, and light herbs. Flavor of raisins, burnt caramel, plum, chocolate, huskiness, and earth. A bit too sweet for my tastes. jercraigs (10374) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2010
2010-07-01. Very dark brown body, small beige head. Flavour is mild, lightly fruity but tangy, very mild, very light alcohol. Struggle to tease out much aroma, finally get some tangy fruit to emerge. 5+ Average plus palate. Shockingly bland for a dubbel. [3084-20100702] Tap. Not a lot in the aroma, a little grainy yeast. Slightly hazy, bright orange body with no head. Fruity apple hops flavour has fresh light bready dough yeast notes. Medium body. Fresh, good.

Draft at Brewpub in Greenwood. During the Seahawks’ victory. Solid American Belgian style. rich brown. Good rich malts. The flavor is there but not totally complete or complex enough. nice. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JUN 7, 2010
Nose is mostly banana, alcohol, some darker fruits. Pours dark brown/copper hued, soft head and lace. The flavor is also full of banana, like a banana flambee or whatever. Light roast, caramel, chocolate as well. Noticeable alcohol at times, sharp carbonation. Sweet and estery/phenolic. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUN 17, 2010

On tap at Naked City... This pours a dark brown with a nice bubbly head, some red hues, blah blah blah, it is a nice looking beer. The aroma is spicy with lots of fruity yeast, some dark fruit, banana, sweetness in a nice undescribed kind of way. It smells malty, fruity, and good. Tastes spicy, lots of yeast esters, banana, clove, sugar sweetness, toffee, bananas flambay or whatever... it is spicy, sweet, yet drinkable and tasty... Bubbly carbonation leads to a vibrant spicy character... nice sweetness... good shit going on... I have heard that these dudes can brew tasty beers... I am not really a fan of Belgian Dubbels, but this was nice and I would drink it more than once...I’m a ticker...
