COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian Style Dubbel aged 6 months in a Merlot barrel. Gilda is reminiscent of the Flanders Red Ales of Belgium. Slightly sweet and pleasantly tart with plenty of wine character from the French oak barrel.

Nose of balsamic, cherries, fruity notes, light funky notes, a little lactic, wood, and nice winey notes. Pours dark red, thin head, no lace. The flavors are fruity and winey, very Flanders Reddish. Strawberry, balsamic, fruity undertones, light funk, wood, wine in the finish. Dry, medium tart finish. Nice carbonation and mouthfeel. Solid stuff.

Draft at Naked City. Pours a deep ruby tinted brown with loose but good size dirty white head. Quite tart and fruity on the nose with notes of cherry, strawberry and balsamic. Not overly tart up front, but just enough to hit the sour spot. Moves into the fruity balsamic flavors from the nose with just a hint of sweetness. Some light oak character on the back of the palate in the finish, but mostly tart balsamic notes. Enjoyable Flanders.

Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice mellow aroma fruit like and wine barrel. Sweet with a light sour taste. This is a very nice brew.
