COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with our good friends at Silver City Brewing, this beer reflects the true collaborative spirit of our local brewing community. Brewed especially for Seattle Beer Week 2009, Hoptrocity is the Ale of Two Cities. 25% rye malt lends a spiciness that accentuates the intense Centennial, Cascade, and Amarillo hop profile while additional malts provide the perfect balance of sweetness. Enjoy

Growler from RiversideAK. Pours a slightly clouded orange amber with a frothy off white head, nice lacing. Nose is slightly hoppy with some rye and grain in the background. Light booze and rye malt on the palate with a slightly bitter finish. A nice brew, just wish it was a little more fragrant.

Pours copper orange with medium sized cream head. Nose is fruity, not much hops, little bits of lemon and orange. taste is heavy on a moderately sweet malt base. Moderate to low bitterness, lemon hop flavor, hints of pine. not too hoppy.

Draft at Naked City. Dark clear caramel golden with small head that laces decently. Nose is really kind of faint and non descript. Citrus, brown sugar, grass. Great body and creamy mouth feel with tight carbonation. Slightly sweet citrus malt, moving into the resinous hop, with the rye showing through. Super balanced realy and well done, I would love to see this a touch brighter in profile.

draft at naked city. pours a slightly hazy burnished medium amber with ruby at the edges. no real head to speak of, but, if there were, it would be tough to imagine a prettier beer. rich, earthy, slightly peaty nose with plenty of toasty, slightly husky dark rye bread on offer. creamy medium body with firmly active carb. earthy, peaty rye mid palate with tons of resinous hop bite to keep it from settling into maltbomb territory. long bitter resin finish. Yum.

On tap at Naked City. Pours hazy orange amber with a nice beige head. Floral and citrus hop aroma- interesting, I’m getting some lime in there. Taste is balanced with some caramel malt. Medium-bodied with a long bitter pine finish. Can’t wait until they are fully operational as a brewery.

Flavor: Nice malt flavoring sweet with added rye and the hops added tasted very good.
Palate: Dry IPA finish, with a very nice Mouthfeel.
Overall: The first of what I feel will be many Naked City Brews this was wonderful and I can nto wait to try more. This is going to be a fun place to watch grow.
