The beer poured okay with reddish/orange hue to it, a mild off white head and almost no lacing on the glass. The beer smelled decent with a definite presence of rye malts up front and subtle hints caramel and toffee. The taste was decent with a nice blend of caramel and malts with a toffee finish that blended nicely. The mouthfeel was decent as the beer was carbonated okay, medium bodied and leaves you somewhat mildly dry and malty. Overall, a good rye malt with a nice blend on the nose and taste. A good representation for their first anniversary. zach8270 (4021) - Henrietta, New York, USA - DEC 11, 2011
(draft @ Tap and Mallet - Rochester, NY) Clear orange pour with a puffy white head. Very malty at the start of the nose with a very apparent dry rye flavor. Some light caramel as well underneath. Semi-sweet flavor at the start with a very noticeable bread and extremely dry rye middle. Dry and bready up until the finish and leaves a light sweet and caramel aftertaste.
