Draft at Bainbridge. Mostly clear dark orange copper pour with soft egg-shell foam. Gentle silky mouthfeel up front though finishes quite sharply bitter. Citrus aroma. Malty body. Blood oranges. Caramel toffees. Tangerines. Artichokes. Hibiscus. Celery. Autumn leaves. Different enough to be interesting. Koelschtrinker (20772) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - DEC 9, 2013
Frischer hopfiger Antrunk, Zitrus, sehr blumig mit passenden trockenen Noten. Frisch, fruchtig, sehr erfrischend. 11/11/11/12/11/11 DocLock (10830) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Bomber from Blue Dog Lansdale. Pours turbid orangy copper with 1-finger frothy off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, very bitter and citric, almost blood orangy. Tastes of blood orange, tart citrus, caramel malt. The level of tartness here is welcome to me, but I have to wonder if it as at a level intended by the brewer. At any rate, I enjoy this one a lot. Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark orange-brown color with a small foamy white head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet ginger, tropical fruits and a bit of pine. The flavor was bitter, dryish and tart with moderate tropical fruits and faint pine. Medium length dry, bitter tropical fruit and pine finish. Medium body. Solid.
