Dark brown with little head at all. Smells a bit citrusy with malts and coffee. A really delicious stout with complex flavors. Medium mouthfeel. Will have again

Black with an off-white head. Aroma is full of chocolate with some mint notes thrown in. Flavor is full of chocolate and roasted malt. Once again the mint is also present, as is a bit of dark fruit. The beer is very sweet overall, making it difficult to drink more than few ounces. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Alcohol is very noticeable. Aroma of dark fruit, and roasted malts. Pours a dark brown with a rapidly dissipating tan head. The taste moderate sweet. Dates, raisins, bourbon flavors are all present. Medium body with a moderate carbonation. Overall, sweeter than normally like, but it did compliment the Chana Masala I had at Whip In.

(Draught) clearish deep copper/espresso with a dark tan head. Nose of date, alcohol, whiskey, dark dried fruit. Taste of alcohol/whiskey heavy, date, sweet, a but one dimensional. Medium thick body, more like a Belgian. ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - OCT 12, 2012
This obviously Belgian yeast-fermented imperial stout has a dark brown color, and a dense, off-white head. Its aroma is pretty mild, a bit hard to pull out any character. Something about this beer reminds me of a Belgian Dark Strong I just brewed... the yeast is very pronounced, and you can even taste the yeast cake. When dealing with Belgian yeast and untraditional Belgian styles, there is a fine line and it’s hard to achieve a good balance. This beer manages to show its Belgian roots while still boasting a sweet, roasted malt body. And the alcohol sneaks up on you... I really can’t tell that it’s there at all, but then... half-way through a tiny 5 ounce glass it hits you. Nice job. In retrospect, it’s a little up-front for the first few sips, but then it becomes insanely enjoyable. I could drink this all day long. Drink this for the effect and the flavor. Light, smooth, almost creamy, and effective.
