3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 13, 2014
From bottle, best by December 2014.
Clear amber with a short off-white head. Malty aroma of toasted grain, burnt biscuit, butter toffee with quiet mineral notes. Faint off-notes of metal and vegetable DMS. Medium body, semi-sweet, medium acid, somewhat bitter in the mouth. Husky roughness in the mouth. Decent but simple.

kerenmk (5357) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - NOV 5, 2017
Bottle to mug at Landbierparadies, Wodanstr. Nuremberg, 8.10.17. No appearance. Malty aroma with some cold coffee, a little bit of chocolate. Sweet and coffee and slightly roasty and nutty taste. Full body, medium fizz, nutty and bitter finish.

MrOrla (3692) - Odense C, DENMARK - APR 12, 2017
Bottle. Pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of loads of grains, light vetagbles, earthy-pheonlic, dusty/paper, dried fruits. Taste is heavy dusty, loads og grains and earthy charater. Old and dusty

Big bubbled spritely pour but severely lacking head. Aroma of rust, black currants, and cellar dust. Interesting. Taste is of red fruit compote and straw. A bittersweet brew which has character but not very well balanced: initial sweetness is too soon overwhelmed by the hopped bitterness. However the dark fruit taste which is rare to find in a Landbier is excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

TAR (2802) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - JAN 3, 2016
Bottle, best by May 7, 2016: Hazed amber. Quick eggshell head. Dirty nose of peanuts, paint, hay, fennel seed, wax and floral hops. Pointy carbonation and flimsy in body. Caramelly and sweet with papery malt and chalky yeast bitterness. Quite unclean, as its considerably dough and fruity. DMS also finds its way into the mix alongside a gummy candy slickness and stewed peach character which exacerbates the excessive level of sugars. Despite the poor attenuation, the center is somehow stark and hollow. Generic papery malt finish shows wet hay, chalk, and faint nuttiness. A very generic and dirty lager. Nein danke!

downender (9003) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2015
Bottle. Amber, with a thin, off-white, head. Very similar to the Vollbier drunk immediately before, with malts to the fore and perhaps a slightly more bitter finish. Good.

Thanks to kevnic2008 for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, fine malty, more and more spicy. Light sourish background. Finish grasy-spicy, well balanced and quite drinkable. Not bad!

Recht malzig und nüssig mit ein paar süffigen Momenten. Etwas zu dunkel für mich in der Seele - die Malzigkeit wird etwas übertrieben. Dann aber ganz ok.

McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - OCT 20, 2014
Bottle from Getränke Kistner in Forchheim. The beer pours out in a hazy brown colour with steady head and medium body. Aroma of lots of malt and peat. Taste of roasted malt, roast, leaves, woods, barley, bread and torf. Earthy.

Beerhunter111 (23265) - Beerland, GERMANY - JUL 3, 2014
Ins Glas ergießt sich ein orangegoldenes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch kräftig malzig, getreidig. Geschmack sehr malzig, würzig, getreidig.
