From bottle at Brasserie de la Senne, Brussels. Lightly hazed amber with a fine white head.
Straight up American hops in the nose show a strong grapefruit and pine resin core with minor apricot and orange accents. Malt is pale and cara, lightly toasty, somewhat bready. Fine natural carbonation with soft malt, that’s the highlight. Medium body, semi-sweet, finish is appropriately bitter and a little resinous. It’s certainly well-made, but the ingredients limit the appeal. Yvan’s noble-hopped beers are some of the best in the world, he doesn’t need to be making the prototypical western resin/grapefruit IPA.

From backlog. 330ml bottle. Smooth, slightly spicy and earthy Belgian ale with some earthiness, ripe fruits and citrus. Quite balanced.

Poured at Shelton Festival, cloudy orange with medium frothy white head. The aroma is yeast and fruity malt. Medium body, yeast, fruity malt, pure sugar, light dry finish, good.

Bottled. An unclear dark yellow beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of yeast, fruits, and malt The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and hops, leading to a bitter finish.

33 cl. bottle bb 13 Jul 2017; thanks again to Shelton Brothers for importing outdated European IPAs to the US at inflated prices! I guess us stupid Americans will never learn; e. g. - we also elected a President Trump. Mostly clear, orange-golden brew has a big sticky Belgian style head. Nose is spicy yeast, orange zest, honey, lemongrass and toast. Flavor is the same mix with some lightly peppery rye, toasted sesame and a touch of mint. Light-medium bodied with low CO2 and a bit of a dry slant.
