bottle pour from a stand at the Brno Christkindlmarkt. served hot. the spice character is prominent, the alcohol is hot and stinging, and the honey seems dirty, earthy, soil-like and phenolic. overall not very pleasant to drink, though the stand and selection was impressive: http://bit.ly/HeSA1y

Bottle sample at a tasting at Stas’ place. Thanks Stas. Clear golden. Honey, flowers, spiciness, sweet, slightly tart, citrus, light bitterish note.

I’m surprised to see this here on RateBeer, i wasn’t aware regular mead could be listed. So i tried three variants of these during Brutal Assault Festival 2016 at late hours after the shows, in a pub where a nuclear disaster happened seeing my dead-drunk mates everywhere. Anyway, this is enjoyable if you like mead, it’s not incredible but the alcohol level is quite interesting and it is incredibly easy to drink. Honey taste is quite present. Not much differences between all the ones i tried, this is the classic one and I enjoyed it from start to finish. APPROVED BY TAVERNY’S BLACK METAL CREW!

Bottle, from a small vendor’s stall in the annual Prague Easter market. Pours a deep golden clear body. Nose is perfumy floral honey notes with hints of roses, red berries and nuts. Taste is floral sweet tones of red berries, fruity estery tones and hints of oranges and sugar. Medium, slick body. A bit too perfumy and fruity for my likings, but fair enough.

Bottle bought at the Staronestska Square, Prague. Reddish color, no head. Honey aroma, caramel, alcohol, floral, some raisins. Honey flavor, boozy, caramel, sweetish, some grapes. Not the best mead.
