3fourths (9406) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2014
UPDATED: FEB 4, 2015 August 2014 bottle. Unreal nose... De la Senne house strain providing a dusty flour and calcium minerality to go with expressive amber malt: the impression something like nutty almond pastries, red apple skin, and a hint of maraschino cherry. Just-caramelized malt showing hints of cinnamon candy, blending with a citrus-pepper, dried apricot, honeysuckle, cedar and wood oil hop aroma. Shapeshifting nose, at times I could swear there’s a curry powder and jasmine resemblance, at times the hops are more western / raw / grassy, at times more noble-like floral-lemon-pepper character. Medium body, pillowy and soft and creamy with a filling effervescent explosion, carbonic acid and finishing hops washing away toasty malt sugar. The aroma is near-perfect and the finish close to flawless: tingling, satisfying, savory, long-lasting maltiness with considerable but not overwhelming bitterness.

Addendum: this one fell off fast. In October is was 4.5, in December it was probably 3.7-3.9. All De la Senne beers fade, some sooner and faster than others.

erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - APR 23, 2017
Blond, typical De la Senne appeal with clean Belgian yeast, big bubble, simple but well made style. Light hopped, drinkable. It’s another very decent ale. But a little more special couldn’t hurt. (33cl bottle from Belgian Beer Shop Leuven)

Hopverdju (1833) - BELGIUM - APR 13, 2017
Oranjekleurig bier met witte schuimkraag. Geur: hoppig, mout. Smaak: licht bitter, hoppig. Licht en glad mondgevoel. Medium koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht bitter en licht zoet. Aangename doordrinker.

Nice but light aroma. Watered down Belgian ale with a strange aftertaste. Heavy metal kind of taste.
