COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed for Kunstencentrum Vooruit, celebrating their 100th anniversary.
Ingredients: water, barley malt, wheat syrup, hops, yeast. From the website (Google translate from French): "On the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the Kunstencentrum De Vooruit Ghent wished to remind the brewing activity he had had in the early 1900. In this context, the Brasserie Dupont was asked to create a beer based on their wishes. Given the success of this new beer at the event, it was decided to open production for all customers. * Organic beer, amber color, dry and bitter with a smoky note (specifically peat) in aroma and taste. This phenolic characteristic is obtained by using a small percentage of malt specially dried with Scottish peat (malt whiskey)."

3fourths (9358) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 3, 2015
UPDATED: AUG 26, 2015 Bottle. Clear orange with a sticky white head. Aroma impression is strongly kilned and toasty amber malt, minerals / oyster shell and earthy peat smoke. Medium body and effervescent, up front it’s semi-sweet and salty and brine-like, naturally peaty and smoky and lasting in the mouth with prickly and invigorating carbonic acid and airy malt sugar. Succulent pastry amber and red malts with a robust earthy, petroleum like peatiness that speaks to Islay whiskey malts, delivered dry and bubbly as Dupont does so well. Weird beer rules.

Sample from bottle. Unclear golden in color with a whitish head. Mild smokyness, some fruityness as well. Interesting, quite refreshing combination. Smoky taste, some fruitynes here as well. Crisp finish.

Peat and roast, rotten fruit, of an apple variety, big head, a hint of vanilla at the end. Interessin, kinda like a rauchcider

The smokiness of this caught me off guard - I was expecting a tripel - but it's good. Like a rauchbier but light. A bit of sweetness in the background with a light bod. Easy drinking for the smoked style.

Jambes fines, courtes, collantes.
Jybi. (3/3/3/4/6)

Bottle of Triomf from Carrefour City Supermarket, Brussels, Belgium. Hazy golden coloured with a thick white head. It has a malty, toffee and smoked beechwood flavour followed by fruit and gentle smoked earthy notes on the smooth finish. Not bad.

330ml bottle (KwakInn, Riga) (6+:4:6-:3:12=3.1)

Honey, small head. Peaty tarry aroma. Taste has some almost poopy elements, but that's because of the peat, I'm sure. Some liver-like aspects too. Finish is pure black tea, massively tanniny. Pu-erh, even. Didn't mellow with the sediment added, even in small quantities.
