3fourths (9406) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 2, 2014
33cl bottle from the brewery in Brussels. Lightly hazed gold with a small white head. Hoppy and malty nose of lemon pastry, white pepper, dried apricot, dandelion, etc. Once again, texture to beat all... soft and creamy with bright carbonic acid. Off-dry, medium+ bitterness. A little chalky, but otherwise solid.

Bottle at Verscheuren. Cloudy yellow color white head with solid lacing and good retention. Aroma of white pepper and subtle lemon. Taste has perfume, citrus, pepper. Very flavorful.

Bottle, many thanks King_Alex_II! Unclear glowing golden color with creamy white head, beautiful. Aroma is flowery, intense apricot jam, candied apples, the aroma turns a bit phenolic after a couple of sips. Taste is intense apricot (I know I use the word apricot a lot when describing Tripels, but this is a whole other level than other Tripels), a touch phenolic, bready, other sweet fruits, peach milkshake, dough. Soft carbonation, slightly boozy aftertaste. A fantastic Tripel with an unusual character (which is rare in Tripels, even in the good ones), hats off Yvan! Nom.

UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 Bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a big head. Aroma is strong yeast, clover, sausage peel, flowers. Body is medium yet quite intense, with a decent punch of sweetness and bitterness. Soft but present carbonation. Floral flavours over chalky minerals, some zesty fruit too. Almost dry palate, yet still full in volume, even a little boozy. Good!

adamnowek (3806) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 16, 2017
Murky bronze colour. Big, foamy head. Aroma is spice, bread, and gingerbread. Taste is spicy yeast with a hint of tangerine.

mateuszk (2769) - Poznań, POLAND - SEP 29, 2016
Bottle. Pours slightly hazy, orange in colour with big white head. Aroma of peach, zest, citrus and flowers. In taste citrusy, zesty, lightly sweet with dry and hoppy finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Nice hoppy tripel.

Bottle drunk in front of Au Soleil next to the church on a hot Monday afternoon in Brussels. Drunk alongside the Zinnebier. Both were excellent. Pours a vivid cloudy Yellow with a thick White head. This was another stand out tripel from the trip to Belgium. It has classic Belgian characteristics but with De La Senne’s trademark hoppy bitterness. Floral and grassy. A real treat.

The aroma is grassy, yeast. The flavor is the same. Like a mi of a Belgian and a pils. Golden in color. The finish is yeastyicy grassy. Weird but ok.

Bottle @ Brasserie Verschueren, Sint Gillis. Orange colour, creamy white foam. Fruity aroma of banana and peach. Bit spicy. Lovely bitter hoppy finish. Very well balanced. Outstanding tripel!

I drank this at Au Soleil, Brussels on 2nd of November 2014. As others have said, orange in colour with a white creamy head. Good hoppy, citrusy aroma. Not too sweet to taste. Orange taste and peel also. Tasted a bit like Caracole Ambree when it used to be good (c2000). My first beer from this brewery and I’ll no look out for more of their beers.
