AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 3fourths (9406) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 15, 2014UPDATED: MAY 27, 2015 From 330ml bottle, lightly hazed (some yeast sediment unsettled) gold with a billowy and sticky white head. Dried flowers, calcium / minerals, pineapple juice, pithy lemon citrus, uncooked dough. I like the malt body and light sweetness across the front but the back is a different story. Highly effervescent, almost too much so, giving it a brash edge which amplifies the highly bitter Strisselspalt-like hops (herbs, flowers / honeysuckle, lemon) leaving a brutally dry finish.
Not saison, just another mid-4 hoppy Belgian pale ale from the best brewer in Belgium.
nuplastikk (6674) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 9, 201711.2oz bottle at Brasserie V. Hazy orange-yellow-tan body. Foamy, steady off-white head. Sometimes you forget how nice a Saison can be. Bold flavor, but really light and easy on the palate. Really well done beer. Funky. Almost has a dry spelt feel. Peppery high temp tones. Great.
GenDV138 (8153) - Falls Church, Virginia, USA - JAN 4, 201711.2 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Quite hazy/cloudy yellow orange with a finger of off-white head. Aromas of lemon and orange citrus, herbs, light funk. Tastes of lemon and orange citrus, light funk, peppery notes, herbs, some bitter wheat and floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Nice collaboration. Bought this in April 2014 but it seems to have held up very well.
cpetrone84 (1810) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 22, 2015Pour is light hazed yellow with a tight white head. Nose is bright, leather brett up front with a nice smooth lemon and citrusy herbal hop. Taste has a stronger saison yeast presence and more leathery brett. Notes of spice, lemon comes in, hops are predominantly grassy and herbal through the finish. Light body and well carbonated.
NikkTwist (3586) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 2, 2015Draft at Monks. (Not positive if it was the Saison or Table version.) Very cloudy yellow pour with a slim white head that left a bit of lace. Grassy citrus hops. Grapefruit rind. Lemon seeds. Green tomatoes. Banana peels. Sage. Thyme. Fuller mouthfeel than expected, though not as deep a palate.
murran (719) - - FEB 15, 2015Pours a hazy golden body with a thick and lasting head. Faint flowery aroma. Nice and subtle taste with tones of funky stable, hay and flowers.

teorn88 (7687) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 30, 2014Backlog rating. Bottle shared at Caspar tasting at Chriso’s, London. It pours a slightly hazy pale golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is hoppy and yeasty, spicy, with notes of hay, apricots, grass, grains. Taste is medium bitter and lightly crispy and tangy in the finish. More notes of peppery yest, grass, citrus peel and apricot. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Overall, good
BVery (11628) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 2, 2014Bottle. Something must be wrong with this bottle. Hazy yellow-gold pour with a big frothy white head. Smells skunked - like a Heineken with a hint of lime. Palate is a little watery, with some sharp astringent notes and a drying finish on the tongue. Getting almost no saison character either. Absolute drain pour.
TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 1, 201411.2 oz bottle, BB 10/10/14. Cloudy orange with a webby white head. Nose is dough, grass, lime and honey. Crisp and creamy with a bright tang. Taste is tangerine zest, limeade, grass and citrus honey. Delightful stuff; aptly named.
Aurelius (5742) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2014Very foggy straw blonde, with a bright white head. Slope-shouldered 11.2 oz bottle, meh label. Nice aroma... Citrus, biotic, spice, faint gasoline. Flavor is OK, but sometimes goes vacant. On the Belgian side of Belgian IPA. Effervescent. Bitter kumquat finish. Medium body. Proof Bottle Shop.
tastybeer (1853) - Indiana, USA - NOV 25, 2014Bottle. Straw gold pour, light haze. Big white head, good retention/some lace. Aroma of grassy, melon, floral hop, lemon, ester, bread. Taste is lightly bitter, grassy, melon, lemon, estery. Very dry, lightly slick, average carbonation, lightly bitter finish. I imagine this is amazing fresh.
