UPDATED: JAN 16, 2015 Bottle conditioned 33cl last in stock from the Belgian Beer Shop in Leuven. Hazy gold with a billowy, lasting head. Bottled February 2014, I was worried about the state but the first sniff removed any doubt.
Sharp lemon-pepper and cheese rind and dried flower petals scream Saaz. House strain character in full effect, cobweb and bakery aroma triggers nostalgia. Pithy / rind-like lemon, oily in the mouth, juicy but oh-so dry. Salty baked baguette malt. Lush and full mouthfeel. The gripping dryness makes you salivate endlessly... gulps are necessary and one bottle will absolutely not satisfy. Beautiful pour, intoxicating aroma, bracing dryness in the way of Taras Boulba, punch in the fucking face. There may be no better hop + yeast character out there.

Addendum: In August 2014 the bottle was 6 months old and worthy of a 4.9/5. In November 2014 it had faded considerably and probably would score around 3.7-3.9... and yes there *is* that big of a difference with age for these DLS beers. Really hoping that they make it again so I can buy a few fresh cases.

Kurze Review von Untappd: Mmhh, quite dry and bitter, refreshing, good mouthfeel. But smells like a common Lager...

Collaboration brew, a variation on Taras Boulba, "extra hoppy". Misty yellow blonde beer with vivid sparkling everywhere, supporting a lacing, medium thick, audibly crackling, egg-white head with good retention. Becomes fully cloudy and ’milky’ with deposit. Aroma of sour and sweetish fruits, impressions of green apple, raw rhubarb, baker’s yeast, raw pear, lemon peel, prosecco, soap, freshly cut nettles, milk gone sour, goat cheese, fresh ginger. Vivid fruity taste, subdued sweetishness with a light, refreshing acidity, unripe plums, gooseberries, sharpish minerally carbonation, slightly bready pale malts underneath, dryish; a leafy, earthy, ’Euro’ hop bitterness sets in early and increases towards the end, leading to a long, dry, bitter finish, not very aromatic, but quenching and appetizing nonetheless. Enjoyable session beer, lacking the aromatic citrus qualities of an IPA, so best viewed as a more ’old school’ Belgian bitter (not unlike XX Bitter and a few others in this substyle).

Bottle at the 7th Tasting in Belgrade-Serbia, from a trade of markoijelena. Thank you mate. Pours yellow extremely cloudy, small white gassy cap. Nose: little stable, grainy, fresh hops. Mouth: malt, wheat, citric and sour final end. Nice one!

>> Taras Runa, bottling date says 6/2/2014 so assuming this is about to be 1 year old. Perhaps there is only one bottled batch of this beer? Pours full hazy glowing white straw with billowing white foam. Rocky, sheen, fisheye head with infinite retention and mountains of lacing. Nose is intoxicating Meyer lemon, fresh clothes, blood orange zest, pomelo, white sugar, faint squashy dry hop character. Taste is perfect De la Senne on the money: ridiculous pilsner crackery malt backbone with wicked grassy hops atop a dry as hell finish giving this beer that elusive profile of perfect APA/Saison hybrid that seemingly only Hill Farmstead and Tired Hands have been able to master in the US. Ultra crisp and so refreshing. This a beer to drink by the pitcher. As Budweiser taught us, Beer is for drinking, not for dissecting. So Ima quit now and chug this.

Bottle bought @ Etre. Pours hazy milky glowing yellow with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is rustic, tiny malty and tiny fruity with crackers, cereal, grapefruit juice, fresh air, minerals, moist grass, dry soil, mango and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, tiny fruity and herbal with crackers, honey, grapefruit juice, mango, papaya, dry soil, hay, minerals and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, dry, slightly astringent and light bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, grapefruit juice, unripe mango, honey, dry soil, minerals, hay and lemon zest. Another dead solid crushable De La Senne beer!

Backlog rating. 33cl bottle from trade. It pours a hazy straw color with a medium white head. Aroma is freshly cut grass, grains, grapefruit and citrus peel. Aroma is medium sweet and lightly crisp bitter and dry. Notes of citrus peel, ripe apricots, yeast, grapefruit. Finishes lightly dry and citrusy. Overall, ok Belgian hoppy pale

Ottimo esperimento di belgian ale luppolata, con note leggermente fruttate, floreali, decisa presenza di lieviti, finale amaro e abbondante.
