3fourths (9406) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - AUG 1, 2014
September 2008, 750ml bottle, age unknown. Huge sticky cobweb head, cloudy honey colored body. Soft pungency in the nose, feet, cheese, stank, the blue cheese and brett notes are heavenly. Tingly on the tongue, peppery but soft, funky and dry parmesan cheese and grassy hops. A touch of honey sweetness, a little bit of sugariness. Damn good beer to settle in with for a few hours. 8/4/8/4/16, 4.0

August 2014, 33cl from Brasserie de la Senne in Brussels. Lightly hazed gold with a rocky white head. Simply beautiful in the nose: aromatic herbs, dried citrus peel notes, white pepper, malt comes across as baked bread / crackers with a touch of pastry dough... hops are juicy and floral with notes of lemon balm / herbs, but also just a hair green / raw... medium body, off-dry, hoppy. Filling soft natural carbonation, creamy malt texture, snappy spice... truly astounding stuff. Up against Dupont Biologique and De Ranke Saison (both 5.5%), both 4.0-level beauties, but tonight Zinnebir shows that it sits a level up. 9/5/8/5/16, 4.3

Zarrach76 (384) - Grenoble, FRANCE - APR 20, 2018

330ml bottle. Pours gold with a nice head. Yeasty aroma, taste is orange zest, a bit of coriander and a nice bitter finish. Good solid beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Drygate, Glasgow. Beer served in 6°C, Duvel Glass. Pours hazy golden with a big head. Aroma is yeasty, with a bread, barley, lemon and lime hints, slightly sour like. Thick body, lots of yeasts. Taste is sharp, bitter, metallic and mineral (taste a little like iron), also with a fruity, liquid bread hints. Definitely better than Duvel in my opinion. Bottle was 3 months after the “best before” date.

From the tap, at STAM bar Brussels, aromas of bread and citrus, pale colour, medium bitterness, light body, thin feel, long finish of citrus fruits. Freshy and with no alcohol feeling as almost all De La Senne beers. Overall a good one.

On tap at De La Senne, pours a hazy dark gold with lots of frothy, white head. Nose has bready notes, floral too, lemon, soap, some savory herbs. Flavor has some candy sugar, chamomile, lavender, lemon, floral tea, some stone fruits. Finishes medium bodied, just a touch sweet.
