4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2014 Undated bottle, undoubtedly fresh given the sharp lemon balm / lemon oil / pith character and the aromatic floral qualities of noble hops and biscuity warm baked bread Pilsner malt, delivered on a dry, snappy, pillowy / airy body. The fine natural carbonation gives it a luscious and filling presence, and the pithy bitterness is vibrant and striking in the mouth. This is world-beater Taras Boulba once again, hard to put into words meaningful enough to convey my satisfaction. A beauty of a hoppy, dry Belgian golden with endless appeal. I went through three bottles of the same batch at Mikkeller Bar in San Francisco, the first two were unreal (4.6 and 4.7) while the third was strangely dull (4.2 level). So it does vary as most bottle-conditioned beers do.
A beer with floral, grass flavors, light body, medium carbonisation, moderate foam easy to drink. ACHops (1643) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 19, 2017
11.2oz bottle, into a tulip glass. Pours heavily hazy, white sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Color is a bright yellow with medium white head that laces heavily. Aroma is dry faintly citrusy hops, pleasantly crisp grain bill. Taste is likewise -malt forward and super crisp, hops are dry and add a tangy citrus kick that lingers through the finish. Well-balanced, super drinkable, tons of flavor in spite of the light body. Very nice. Dazka (164) - Milan, ITALY - NOV 11, 2017

Óriási, örökké tartó, fehér hab, szalmasárga szín. Gabonás, fűszeres illat. Gabonás, fűszeres ízek, enyhe citrusos beütéssel. Könnyed, közepesen szénsavas, közepesen keserű. Kellemes, könnyű, tisztrességesen összerakott ital.

4. 11. 2017, Ljubljana. Bottled. Aroma is fresh but held back a bit. Straw colour with rocky head with med retention. Taste is fresh, citrusy at start. Finish is hoppy until the end, dies down a bit but lingers on in the aftertaste. Lightbodied mouthfeel, somewhat dry but mostly hoppy throughout. Resembles more to a radler than a beer even thought it has 4,5% ABV which is cleverly hidden. brandy cools (28) - antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 28, 2017
it's the upgraded version of a regular belgian beer, a lager, like stella or jupiler.
it smells a bit the same but the taste is more outspoken in a nice way with a more enjoyable way of lasting. I don't like the supermarket-lagers i mentioned before but this is something else. Hop bitternes with yeast and a bit of citrus in the background.i notice very little sweetness but that's cool. White golden colour close to that of witbier. Refreshing and enjoyable. ardeo (547) - Flémalle, BELGIUM - OCT 28, 2017
En fût aux HoppyDays de Liège. Jaune clair trouble et petite mousse. Nez discret sur les agrumes. Bouche très fraîche avec goûts de citron, pamplemousse et une grosse amertume. Finale sèche. Bonne ! toomuchrugby (4) - - OCT 27, 2017 does not count
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2017 Smells like a sour... draws like a sour... doesn't taste like a sour (thankfully, since it isn't supposed to be). Hits the middle of the tongue but is nice, and very satisfying to finish.
