3fourths (9406) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 25, 2014
UPDATED: AUG 20, 2014 Bottle dated June 2013. Effervescent, lightly hazed amber with a tall-building white foam head. Sugar cookie Belgian Pale malt with a more moderate hop profile of grass, flowers and citrus. Medium-full body, sweet approach turning to drying, phenolic, bitter finish. Extremely clean nose, no trace of ethanol, malt is superbly soft, creamy and fine carbonation. Kind of a head scratcher that we are getting 11-month old bottles in Colorado just now (May 2014), and surprised to see it’s held up so well, a testament to the brewing skill at De la Senne, sure, but not all of their beers stand up to that amount of time (see Aug 2013 batch of Taras Boulba that showed up 6 months old and oxidized earlier this year).

Nice hazy light gold with fluffy white head. Bitter tripel, very hoppy finish. A little sweetness in there too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2018 33cl bottle at Scott's (Brussels). Really good Belgian tripel; I would say new generation, slightly hoppier, but very well balanced

At Uncle Babe's Burger Bar, Ghent. Shared with Anke.
Pours clear to hazy yellow with a lasting, small, white head that leaves lacing. The aroma contains banana, almost candy-like banana, wheat, yeast, spices, lemon, bitter hops, apple, honey. It tastes medium fruity sweet (banana again) and light to medium hoppy/spicy bitter; wheaty, dry, slightly spicy finish. Medium body, creamy texutre, fizzy carbonation. A noticeable Belgian Tripel; stands out from the crowd.

Bottle from de Caigny Dranken in Essen, Belgium. The beer is hazy yellow to blonde colored and has a large sticky white foam, with good carbonation. The aroma is light malty and very hoppy with notes of caramel, belgian yeast, flowers, citrus, tropical fruits and some spices. The taste is full bodied and starts light sweet with a nice fruitiness and goes to bitter with notes of yeast, citrus and spices. The finish is dry and very bitter.

330 ml bottle. BB 26/Oct/19. Courtesy of Brandman. Cloudy yellow golden color with a tiny white head. Belgian yeast, some fruity hops and dryish maltiness in the aroma. The flavor is hoppy bitterness, Belgian yeast, some alcohol, dryness and grainy malty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite a hoppy flowery tripel with the strength. Not much complexity or energy. Decent but better tripels out there.
