3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, May 2013. Lightly hazy lemon gold body with a small white head. Mild aroma consists of your typical lemon oil spalt hops and a calcium and sulfur / mineral water note, but also some strange banana esters and a touch of cream or milk from the yeast. Tangy acidity with some starchy malt roughness and a cement mix minerality, combined with mostly dry body and moderately strong bitterness, well, it’s all out of whack. There’s a harsh and bracing texture that never seems to subside, and while there are not overt off-notes, the flavor and aroma just aren’t very exciting.
Aroma malt, eple. Utseende tåkete gylden med lett hvitt skum. Smak malt, karamell, eple, humle. Noe overkarbonert, lett fylde, lite bitter, kort. Flaske delt av DjOeye, 50cl 4,9% BF090118 biir (1596) - Berlin, - OCT 30, 2017

Die Krone ist schön langlebig. Anfangs leicht malzig, wenig Würze mit feiner Hopfennote. MrOrla (3529) - Odense C, DENMARK - APR 14, 2017
Bottle. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of bread, slight grains, fruity, slight foral/perfumed, quite grassy. Taste is quite bitter with a smooth fruity charater along grass and herbs, fresh and crips. Very clean and refreshing.

The Reh Zwick’l is a decent Kellerbier type beer. It’s unfiltered character is evident in its musky first taste and it fine herb aftertaste that again has something dark and murky. Kellerbier as it should be.
