Big pineapple character, and the guava is more subtle. It is fairly dry, so has a character similar to a fruit wine, with the honey notes not particularly evident underneath all of that fruit.

Sampled at the Meadery...really nice mead with good balance between the honey sweetness and the pineapple tartness. Compares favorably to good white wine and to me would be much preferred.

The pineapple was sweet, but the sweetness went away. Most of the meads were tart. Very DIFFERENT. Definitely not thrilled, especially how expensive each bottle is.

Sample at the meadery. Aroma is very fruity, more guava than pineapple. Taste brings more pineapples out, as well as some floral notes. Despite the fruitiness, this one was quite dry. Pretty good I thought.

For the first time in my life I threw out a newly opened bottle of wine. This had a slight fizz to it which was very unpleasant. It had an undiscribable taste of rotten ’something’. There was no sweetness or tang with lots of bubbles. I think this may have refemnted in the bottle. Not sure. If this was the normal taste/aroma profile, stay away from this mead..... YUK!

Black tea, honey, sweet fruity nose almost minty or mentholly. Nice. Pours light golden. Pineapple, papaya, honey and black tea in the finish. A little minty.

Light gold appearance.Tropical fruit burst of aroma. Enjoyable pineapply and guava body with tropical essence. Medium body. Lacking honey character.

UPDATED: NOV 15, 2009 Pours a transparent pale golden with a small ring of fizzy white bubbles. Has a dry floral honey and pineapple aroma with some herbal tea character. Starts pretty thin and very dry with some unique floral character and hints of pineapple tartness, but could really use some more sweetness for balance.
