DuffMan (10665) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, - JAN 15, 2013
Bottle. Red-orange pour, robust beige head, decent lace. Aroma is yeasty fruit and spices, oddly earthy in a way. Flavour is heavily spicy with plastic undertones, closest to mace than any other spice. Astringently dry finish. Thin mouthfeel. Not really that enjoyable.

2.8
sulawang (1197) - - SEP 21, 2017
Visual: (cellared for 5 years). Pours clear copper brown with no real head, a thin haze on top, not much activity.

Nose: sweet toffee barley malt (lvl-6)-pungency

Attack: crisp, sweet malt impression

Mid-palate: (lvl-4-sweetness), toffee barley malt, mild metallic tang

Finish: barley malt exhale

Summary: An easy drinking, no frills beer. Not terribly exciting, but no major flaws either.

Bottle. Thanks Tom. Very pretty dark red/copper pour with off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, oats, notes of oxidization. Flavor is sweet, lots of toffee, with a weird herbal, almost medicinal finish. Palate is sweet and a bit undercarbed. Not very good.

Bottle (500 ml). From Kevin, thanks for this Greenland tick! Hazy copper with a small off-white head and little lacing. Aroma is simple, but not bad with toffee and oatmeal notes. Taste is slightly to moderately sweet with toffee. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Not very complex, but not bad either. I’ve seen far worse rare country tick!

500ml bottle. Courtesy of Papsoe. Some caramel, honey and spicy aromas. Pours reddish, almost clear, with nice creamy offwhite head, persistent, poor lacing. Medium body, high carbonated, slightly crispy texture. Taste is caramel, spicy, malty, quite smooth and quaffable. Enjoyable one.

Pours a clear dark amber color with a small off white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweet caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and other spices. Taste is a malty caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg and finishes with a slight sourness. Body is a bit thin but overall it’s a decent winter warmer.
