COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dark in color, yet our lightest beer. Smooth with a slight roasty, chocolate flavor.

A mild, easy drinking "session" beer with a complex flavor. The chocolate and nutty character is flavorful yet not too heavy. There is very little hop bitterness and the finish is smooth and pleasant.

Very dark brown with a lot of creamy beige foam. Smells like cola and iced coffee, with some notes of chocolate. Taste is more iced coffee and cola. Seems pretty lightly hopped, which I actually kinda like in this style.

Draft at the original Brixc location. Clear brown color white edge head. Aroma of toasted cocoa. Taste is sweet nutty cocoa with light body and a lightly bitter finish. Nice.

Pint on tap. Dark brown with a lasting ring and spots of foam. Nose is dark roast, toffee and a hint of apple. Flavors of toffee, cocoa, coffee, a bit of lactose, dry grass and toasted nut. Light-medium body has a nicely sessionable balance and low-medium carbonation.

On tap at Brixx for featured brewery night. This one was disappointing. Light bodied English brown. Some earthiness, smoke and coal in the nose. Very laid back flavors. Fleeting brown sugar malt fading into lightly spicy hop, then disappearing. Craft beer for non crafties. Pours medium brown with zero head.

Not bad for the ABV. Drinks fairly light with an appealing bitterness at the end. Definite nuttiness and chocolate notes. Average but sessionable.

I liked this brown quite a bit. Malt forward, with a light roast. Smooth finish.

Draft in a flight at the brewery. Poured a dark brown with a small head. Very easy and tasty brew, with subtle hints of nuttiness over a warm and great brown ale. One of their better beers.

Reviewed from notes, tasted 12/22/2011 at the brewery - Pours a clear mahogany with a thin white head. taste is mildly bitter. Palate is a bit thin, but expected, considering the 3.8 ABV. Aroma is nutty with a touch of chocolate.

on tap 7/13/11 at the brewery. walnuty brown with orange at the edges and a tannish ow head. the aroma is nutty... along with notes of caramel, toast, mild choco and some lemony tartness. the flavor is the same. the tartness shows up on the finish. odd... but tasty. it is quite crisp but im sure the lemon is lending a hand....6/4/6/3/13
