Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with medium frothy off white head that lasts leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is strong pine, floral, and citrus. Medium mouth, nice hop bite, citrus, resin finish, very nice.

Bottle. Ruddy orange, sticky head. Woodsy aroma and a gritty feel. Earthen, hints of furniture oil and chewy caramel. Definitely on the heavy-handed side, even a bit leathery. (#5951, 3/30/2015)

CObiased (526) - Bayfield, Colorado, USA - MAR 27, 2015
Bomber - pours a heavy copper orange with a fluffy pillow like head. Nice big aromas of intense hops married with nutty malts and finally an orange bitterness on the end. Not what I expected but still delicious. A mouthful is bold - a touch of hop turns into a nutty caramelesqe malt followed by intense citrus floral hops then a long lingering bitter finish consisting of grapefruit rind and grass. The 9.2 ABV is almost completely masked by flavor.

IPagan5 (106) - San Marcos, California, USA - MAR 21, 2015
Nuts roast oak, some grass, lightly sour, big malts more oak then more bitter hops. That’s all I gotta say about that.

Pours BEAUTIFUL CLEAR ORANGE!!! Nice thick white head. Aroma of bread orange citrus and dank. Taste of deep citrus rich malts skight dank and more malts and more bitey super bitter yet rich grapefruit. Great lasting bitter finish. 144 IBUs...DUH!!

CelticBrew (912) - The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA - FEB 27, 2015
Pours from 12 o bottle a clear dark reddish copper with a very thin, off white head. Aroma malt forward, sweet, grassy, lightly vegital hop matter, tangerine, resin and lightly dank. Some dried fruit character and floral notes. Flavour of toffee, mango. grapefruit, apricot, tea leaf and orange are tamed by a lingering finish of mint, evergreen resin with wet Irish field grass. Superb beer, recommend.

Mycket sötma i aromen, lite blommig. Tycker sötman balanseras upp bra av en kraftig beska som sitter kvar länge.

Zymurgeist2 (2331) - Redwood City, California, USA - FEB 4, 2015
On draught at the brewpub. Aromas of alcohol and massive malt. Clear brushed-gold/copper with off-white head. Taste is cloying malt - viscous and like tree sap. No hops detectable. If I was expecting an old ale, i might feel differently, but was looking forward to a DIPA and this one misses the boat.

Travlr (25821) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JAN 27, 2015
Sample at Top of the Hops Biloxi. Hazy golden orange color, off white head. Aroma of sour orange and grapefruit. Taste is juicy, fruity, bitter and bready. 200th rating of this bad boy.

thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - JAN 10, 2015
From the bottle. Think white head. Aroma is grassy and some wet hop. Flavor is similar, really grassy. Much different take on dipa. I felt like my first instinct was the warrior hop. Overall good beer, napa Smith never disappoints.
