Pours a nice warm orange-amber with lots of lacing. Smells very very hoppy, resinous, some grassiness. Taste is deeply bitter, piney, small amount of floral - wish it had more going on than just sucker-punch hoppiness as it tastes somewhat unbalanced. Sort of like a less malty, less floral Rogue Oregasmic with the hop dialed up to eleven.

Bottle, slightly hazy golden amber color with a very nice fragrance, though quite hoppy it has some distinctive malt notes early on. Finishes slightly sweet but not too much.

Cool_Bond (2800) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2013
Very hop aroma. The taste is too much hops that make it dry. Decent long finish. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Pours a hazy deep orange amber with a medium bubbly off white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, cardboard, citrusy and floral notes. Flavor of caramel, nuts, some leathery notes. Also getting the citrusy hop notes. Barleywine like.

glennmastrange (2925) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Bottle. Moderate malt notes of roasted and caramel, pine and citrus rind for the hops, light soap for the yeast with a hint of dried fig. Head is small, fizzy, off-white with some spots of lacing and is mostly lasting,. Color is hazy medium amber. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet and acidic and moderately bitter. palate is on the fuller side of medium, oily, with a lively carbonation. Not as DIPA-ish as I like, but unique flavors and aromas keep it in the quality beer grouping.

355 ml bottle. Hazy amber. Tall creamy off-white head. Bold hoppy aroma with herbal and grapefruity notes. Pine cones. Hints of oak. Very intense flavours. Very bitter, but there’s quite a bit of residual sugars to balance. Peppermint. Peaches. Dandelions. Overall a very complex and tasty double IPA.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22oz Bomber. The beer pours to a red/dark amber color. The aroma was slightly floral with notes bread a little alcohol. The taste was a little heavy but to be expected with an imperial IPA. Overall an average DIPA for me.

SamTheBarrel (834) - Vallentuna, SWEDEN - SEP 2, 2013
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2013 355ml bottle, poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass, cloudy deep amber with a medium sized beige head, that leaves a sticky residue on the glass. A strong and aggressive sharp aroma of hops, resin and pine. Just a little hint of fruit that is usually more prevalent in the aroma of IPA’s. Taste is similar to the aroma, very unbalanced and bitter, overwhelming hops. Medium body and carbonation. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this beer, too unbalanced and bitter for my taste.

TheBeerGod (6261) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - SEP 1, 2013
Bottle. Rusty amber with a tall, dense tan head. Aroma is hoppy with chewy caramel notes, citrus fruit, tropical fruit notes, sweet malt and berries. Taste is chewy caramel, sweet malt, tropical fruit, citrus oils, hop resins, floral notes, berries and herbal notes. Body is medium-full and rather chewy with a dense, bubbly carbonation. Lingering hop bitterness and oiliness throughout this. Fresh citrus and tropical fruit notes dominate the finish along with floral and herbal hops, big caramel, berries, dark bread and sweet malt.

Out of bottle. I’m hoping this is just an aging problem since this beer seems to not be very hoppy. Still a very good beer but nowhere near as hoppy as Hoptimum or Ruination.
