Poured a red amber with a decent beige head. Aroma: almost like rotten fruit and vegetable, malt, faint hops. Taste carried out the nose but with more malt. Medium-ish body. Overall: this just didn’t work for me.

Pretty bad when a beer with a "big hoppy flavor" smells like banana bubblegum. Never mind, though, for I shall keep an open mind. Looks decent, orange-red but lifeless. Nice lacing, though. The taste is problematic, but not altogether unenjoyable. And, despite the nose, the hops are prevalent on the flavor. Just not enough so. This beer seems muted, or calm, or, well, dull. The hops provide a strong, lingering pineyness, but the malts peter out very early, as does the beer’s body. You’re left with a too-soft too-bitter brew, that only gets harder to sip as it warms. Admire the label from afar, then move on down the row to the New Belgium sours. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - FEB 25, 2011
12oz bottle. Pours ahazy reddish amber with a thin off whitehead that leaves decent lacing. Smells faintly of dried apricots, followed by yeast, malt and hints of pine. Taste is malty, fruity sweetness with some mild citrus hop flavor, and a medium-bitterness in the finish.

Amber pour and smell of sweet malty caramel. Sweet flavor with bittersweet finish and lots of hops. Decent version of a middling style. TURDFERGUSON (4058) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - FEB 12, 2011
Man, every beer I’ve poured tonight has sucked. I guess that’s why I don’t do this ticking thing much anymore. I should start a thread about people like me. Grainy. No hops noted. Pretty bad, maybe the worst I’ve had all night. madchemist83 (272) - USA - FEB 7, 2011
Pretty good amber ale with aromas of oak and honey. Weak head but great taste compensate for the rest.
A little bitter taste but pretty sweat also.
I would recommend it. screigh (737) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 31, 2011
