Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 1 25/09/2016. An opaque black chocoalte brown coloured pur with a creamy head. Aroma is milky chocolate roast malts, strawberry jammy fruits.Flavour is composed of dark chocolate malts, creamy milky choc, jammy fruits. Palate is milky, medium full bodied, moderate carbonation. Good.

Bottle at home. Deep dark, disappearing brown head. Carrub liquor, milk chocolate, sweet licorice, butterscotch, almonds, walnuts, wood. Thick and complex, raw licorice finish. Wow! Bailey’s, rhum, wood, dark chocolate.

Bottle @ home. Black color. Beige/light brown head with some retention. Aroma’s of dried fruit, chocolate. Retronasal it’s chocolate-y, roasted, light drop, light soy sauce, dried fruit. Flavor is sweet and fruity, drop. Strong alcohol feel, warming. Medium bodied. Long finish, sweet, slightly roasted, prickly and warming. Nice.

330ml bottle. Thank you, Martin. BB 12/16. Hazy, dark brown colour. Beige, modest head. Lots of dark fruits, berries, caramel, hints of berrie wine, liqeury notes, hints of smoke in the aroma. Hints of berries, dark fruits, caramel, sour bread, hints of cocoa, alcocholy notes in the taste. Slightly spicy, sour aftertaste with hints of chocolate.

Piana niska, sycząca, szybko opada do zera. Barwa ciemno brązowa. W aromacie śliwki i wiśnie w czekoladzie, jagody, jeżyny, suszona żurawina, orzechy, odrobina kawy. W smaku podobnie, z tym że wszystko to bardzo wyraziste, konkretne - dość słodkie, lepkie, dużo czekolady i ciemnych owoców. W posmaku niewielka owocowa kwaskowość, budząca skojarzenie z jogurtem o smaku owoców leśnych. Paloność niska, goryczka niska, wysycenie też niby niskie, ale drobne i kłujące, co fajnie balansuje likierowy charakter całości. Alkohol wyraźnie rozgrzewa, ale w sumie zbytnio nie przeszkadza.
Imperialna wersja Porteru, który jednak wymyka się moim wyobrażeniom o tym stylu - udział estrów w zapachu i smaku jest tak znaczny, że wydaje się, jakby dodano tu świeżych jeżyn i jagód... Fajny efekt.

Gourmande mais pas aisée. Du fruit confit. Des allures vineuses. La chaleur de l’alcool. Il est sans doute déraisonnable de boire ça en Mai .. Mais en même temps, dehors il pleut et il vente ... Alors ...Qui plus est, j’aime bien l’étiquette .... Oh .... Plus rien dans l’verre !

Bottle 0,33l from Hoppiness shop in Koper, Slo. Dark thick liquid. Smell is a bit alcoholy, wooden, vanilla. Full body, light carbonation. Strong taste of dried plums, sweet, alcohol in finish. Interesting.

UPDATED: APR 30, 2016 Very dark brown color, thin brownish head, some residue. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, cake, plums, dark fruits, booze. Taste of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, cake, booze. Smooth, creamy texture, but boozy. Full body, soft carbonation. Maybe we should age it a year or two. Still, very good.
