11.2oz bottle, from Party Source. "Retired", seriously? Damnit. I hope this isn’t old as hell. No date on the bottle, but it’s a high fill, maybe that’ll do me some good? Pours a totally hazy peachy orange color. Thin ring of off-white bubbly head. Leaves pretty good reaches and ropes of lace. Alright, so flavor is better than expected, considering. Kind of soapy, but also a lot of good big citrus zest, some grapefruit, and bigger spicy hop. Also, some bigger biscuity malt to the flavor. Moderate sweet taste, moderate bitter, and light alcohol in the finish but not too much. Less bite and sweetness than expected for the 9% ABV. Bigger body, lightly slick. Very smooth, lighter carbonation. Much better than expected. Especially for a "retired" IIPA. txolo (154) - SPAIN - DEC 28, 2013
Bottle... Murky caramel ale with a huge, tight, white head. I pull aromas of pluot, tropical fruits and caramel from the glass. Medium-bodied with tickling carbonation. The flavor provides caramel and medium bitterness with low sweetness. Finishes fairly crisp, lightly bitter and a hint salty. My bottle was ancient, but pretty darned tasty and refreshing. 750ml bottle. Piney, herbal and sweet aromas. Pours murky, with nice creamy white head, persistent, good lacework. Medium body and low carbonation. Taste is some sweet, with agressive bitterness, leaving a pleasant afertaste mix of sweet and warming bitterness. Enjoyable. "Hop warning" should be shown in the label...

Pours murky dark amber with a medium, staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has peach, caramel, strawberry, herbal and earthy hops. Medium carbonation, fat and creamy mouthfeel with good dryness. Flavour is fairly sweet, with a fine caramelly malts base. Good peachy, piney, herbal hops. Fine, lingering bitterness. Light warming. A fine double IPA even if the cleanliness lacks a tad.
Thanks Bonke! Pours hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweeter fruits, crispy hops, yogurt, sweet peach, caramel in the back, some organic grassy feel to it aswell. Taste is bitter citrusy hops, caramel, sweet peach, weak oxidized, grassy leading to a dry bitter end.
