Pours hazy golden with a thick, lasting head. Lots of little gold flakes floating in the glass. The aroma is very fruity with loads of berries (raspberry, gooseberry, blackberry) some mango and peach in the back. The taste is ripe tropical fruits, citruses and sour berry fruits from the aroma. Finishes with a medium citrusy bitterness. The carbonation is medium. the body is full, the beer is very juicy and chewy on the palate. It’s drinkable, alcohol well-hidden. Great Imperial IPA, quite different from what I’ve had so far. Palme (4811) - Bergen, NORWAY - AUG 12, 2016
0.33l bottle that i believe I brought home from Barley Wine. Like the concept, even if it’s kinda weird. In the glass this is a light pale orange colored one, cloudy and it has a really good looking tall and superbly lacing bright white head. Lot and lots of gold sediments, both in the bottom of the glass, but also sticking inside the head. The nose has lots and lots of lime. Generic citrus, but mainly lime and lime zest. Orange peel, toothpaste, pine cones and sweet tomatoes. Lovely nose! In the mouth this is nice and oily while it’s above average on the carbonation. Tastes pretty nice also. Even though it’s not a relatively fresh bottle it somehow manages to taste quite fresh. Not soapy, but lots of soapy references. Fruity, lots of fresh green pine cones, old preserved lemons and it has a little saltiness also. Really nice this! No traces of the alcohol. 28.03.2015 mariuspoenari (2724) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - MAY 5, 2016
Hazy orange pour with a very tall white head with good retention. Visible sedimentation - fine sheets of gold among other, less valuable, sediments. Smells like raspberries, gooseberries, unripe mango and apples. Bitter and a bit funky sour, dank and stale, with notes of lemon zest and grapefruit. gunnfryd (14961) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 15, 2015

Bottle. Hazy amber pour with huge white head. Gold particles. Aroma has fresh touch with some sourness and yeast. Taste is quite sour. Odd with the gold addition.. Medium carbonation MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - MAY 23, 2015
Pour murky orange, with a huge bubbly white foam. Chunks of junk in the bottom of ma glass. What is that all about?
Aroma of pine, slight grass, definately some orange, mango, other tropical fruity stuff, some dankness on this bitch.
Taste is pretty bitter. I Can totally taste the gold, it really adds some complexity and depth. Or, well, Maybe not. It does look Damn ugly in the glass.
Medium bodied, with a fizzy carbonation. FraekkeFyr87 (581) - - MAY 13, 2015
The aroma is full of hops, honey, flowers and citrus. The color is beautifully orange and caramellike with small pieces of gold. Very murky as well. The taste is full of hops, honey. flowers, citrus and butter. It is also acidic in the taste. A really nice beer! sir__v (2629) - FRANCE - MAR 24, 2015
Bottle from De Hopduvel, Gent - BE. Color: hazy blond beer with particles of yeast and gold. Medium carbonation and high white foam. Smell: fruity notes as apricot and peach. Grass and flower. Finish hoppy notes. Taste: nice fruity taste as apricot and peach. Really nice with good hoppy balance. Alcohol strong finish. Aftertaste: dry bitterness and alcohol. Very strange idea to brew with gold, I don't know what is the "plus" to do it expect to sell it with a higher price... Very good double IPA but to strong alcohol finish I think...
