0.33l bottle from #140213. Looks really good this with a huge lasting and really lacing light brown head. Nice but a bit weird aroma. Mildly roasted, a strange form of chocolate, vanilla, minty toothpaste and green weeds. Some hops also of course, but this doesn’t smell like and other black IPA I’ve ever smelled. Tastes quite nice. Vanilla and a nice cocoa roastiness. It’s pretty fantastic on the smooth almost velvety mouthfeel and soft prickling on the carbonation. Mild burnt also with hints of sweet licorice before it ends in a lingering roasted aftertaste with traces of cold coffee. A strange one, never tasted or smelled a black IPA like this. Wonder what they’ve done here. 10.10.2014 ngeaney (97) - SWEDEN - AUG 30, 2015
Pours really well, dark brown body with a large off-white creamy head. First aroma was roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, black berries like bramble berries. Hops in aroma were mild with touches of licorice.
The taste was medium and slightly creamy, nice balance between hops and malt. I liked the gentle sweetness in the beer which is always a plus with darker beers as it makes them easier to drink. The after-taste was slightly bitter and hoppy, this is a beer i like and would definitely buy again if I get the chance to drink it. IPAgutten79 (945) - Skui, NORWAY - JUN 28, 2015
Svart med absurde mengder lysebrunt skum. Aroma av kaffe, sitrus og noe furu. Tydelig av kaffe, samt sitrus og furu i smaken. Litt for mye kaffepreg? Skikkelig bitterhet i ettersmaken. Medium konsistens. esp0r (2866) - NORWAY - MAY 9, 2015

Pours brown, quite dark in glass, big creamy light tanned head. Smell of cocoa, citrus hops, mocca, toast and dark malts. Moderate sweet, quite fruity, nice hops, fresh citrus and spices, dark malts, cocoa, toast, nice dark and sinful. Medium bitter, zesty and resiny. A nice colab!
Bottle from Cervezorium. Very dark brown coloured, with a beige head. Nose and flavour are roasted coffee, roasted malts, hops, pine. Fairly bitter. Finish is bitter and dry. Well balanced.

Bottle. Deep brown, almost black, liquid with small light tan head. Aroma of citrus, vanilla, light coffee, light diacetyl and pine. Taste is dry and medium to high bitter with notes of citrus, chocolate and butter. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Unrefined and weird. gyllenbock (9096) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 20, 2014
Bottle at Bishops Arms Vasagatan.
Very dark brown with a medium head. Aroma and taste of licorice, citrus, some coffee and hops. Quite sweet with a medium body. Not bad but I did expect some more hops in this one.

coffee, chocolate, grains and zest from citrus fruits in the aroma. Almost black with a tan head. Medium sweet and medium + bitter. Medium body with average carbonation. Overall not a bad Black IPA, quite enjoyable.
