February 2017 - Bottle share at One Canada Square, with big thanks to Matteo for this big beer. As ’Naparbier Avant-Garde Series Barley Wine Aged for 15 Months. Wine Ed. 2013’, 12%. Pale murky brown, very little head, cloudy. Aroma is cola, vanilla, earthy. Body is smooth, oily with low carbonation. Taste is papery, vanilla, oxidised, boozy, leaves. I wasn’t blown away. (3.2)

teorn88 (7687) - Rimini, ITALY - FEB 10, 2017
33cl bottle shared in CW. Sourced via Etre. It pours a hazed amber color with a minimal beige head. Aroma is super sweet with complex malty barrel notes of caramel, toffee, red wine, bourbon, melon, vanilla. Taste is also rich sweet with loads of vanilla, caramel, melon, toffee, bourbon. Complex beer. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very good

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Matteo. Pours mostly clear amber with a bubbly, off-white head. Aged fruits in the nose, a little leather, toffee, earth, wood. Medium sweet flavour with faint berry tang, some booze, woody dryness. Full bodied, lightly oily, with fine carbonation. Warming finish with some woody dryness, more ripe berries, faint tang, raisins. Good stuff.

PL W zapachu wyraźny dąb i orzech. W smaku wino, wiśnie, kawa i likier. Czuć, że piwo jest mocne. Jednocześnie naprawdę dobre.
