Bottle @ de Molen. Black color, short head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolat, some pepper or pumpkin-like note (dont know if I would have that association without reading the label), mocha, some floral and grassy hop. Taste is roasty and chocolaty with a subtle bite from the peppers. Bit dry finish. The mix of chocolat and pepper is nice, but the base beer itself could have used a bit more depth. Still quite nice. jmgreenuk (10004) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 9, 2013
Bottle at the De Molen second Tuesday tasting, April 2013. Poured a dark mahogany colour with a thin round tan head. The aroma is dry and peaty, leading to a big bitter, liquorice and spicy flavour. The spiciness is not overpowering and I think much of that spice comes from the alcohol anyway rather than from the chilli. A very nice beer to taste, but even I might struggle t drink a 33cl bottle. kermis (14553) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 9, 2013
Bottle shared at Denk’s monthly tasting at De Molen. Pours dark brown, almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of of light spice, chocolate, slightly vegetal, a touch of alcohol, caramel and roasted malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet, light moderate bitter. Chilli peppers are definitely there and leave a warm finish. Full bodied with soft carbonation. miquelcrush (2053) - Granollers, SPAIN - APR 8, 2013
Cerveza de color negro con una buena espuma, en boca se distingue el toque picante de la guindilla pero se enmascara perfectamente con el dulzor de la calabaza. Muy recomendable! TheJvd (1321) - NETHERLANDS - APR 7, 2013
Bottle @ WWT II. Pours pitch black with a medium sized light brown head. Aroma has chocolate, licorice and some roast. Taste has roast, molasses, some spiciness and alcohol. Don’t really taste the pumpkin.

Bottle @ WWT II. Pours a black colored beer with a very small, of white head. Aroma is very malty, alcoholic. Flavor is very sweet, bit much pumpkin detected. Decent stout, but I’ve had better. Borresteijn (7491) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2013
33cl Bottle at WWT II. Great label. Aroma of ash, black ink, coffee and cream. Flavour is ashy, coal, ink, coffee and cream, roasted bitter finish. Almost no sweetness and the habanero is nowhere to be detected. Good stout though. Benzai (16685) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - APR 6, 2013
