UPDATED: JUL 29, 2016 On tap at Haand Beer Festival 2013, Drammen. Pitch black colour, creamy and lasting tan head. Sweetish aroma of pumpkin and vanilla, also roasty notes of chocolate and coffee. Smooth flavour for an impy stout of this strength, medium sweet, malts, molasses and pumpkin, with a solid chili burn all down your throat afterwards. Interesting beer - and quite exciting that it comes from a Spanish brewery. Note: Sampled again on tap at BierCaB, RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. Dramatically different rating: "Pumpkin, sweet, molasses. Not a beer for me. Overall 9/20". However, I keep the rating from Haaand Festival, as I was somewhat more sober then.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate spicy aroma. Roasted malty chocolate, caramel and chili flavor. Has a roasted malty spicy chili and pumpkin finish with hints of chocolate.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pitch black color. Small head, brown. Aroma’s - from the bottle: roasted & soy sayce; from the glass: chocolate, spices; retronasal: sweet malts, herbal, roasted. Flavor is light sweet, roasted, light bitter. The chili is particularly noticable on the tongue, prickly (or is it the alcohol?), not so much with swallowing. Finishes a bit ashy, roasted, medium bitter. OK, but room for improvement.

beighe head with orange haze (!) that disappears quickly with lacing. coffee coloured. aroma of coffeee, mocha, chocolate and smoked malt. taste of liquorice, smoked malts, vanilla and coffee. after a while the habanero chili really comes through, but never dominates too much. quite dense mouthfeel, i imagine in part due to the pumpkin. the high abv is well hidden. bottle 33 cl

27-APR-2013, bottle @home, from Ølbutikken. Black with low light brown head. Aroma is roast, sweet coffee and dark berries. Taste the same. but chili kicks in and really adds something to this brew. Body is thin for an 11,6% Imp. Perhaps chili masks the alcohol? But the burn feels like chili more than alcohol. Low carbonation. Medium length aftertaste of chili and roast. The first pumpkin beer that I like.

Barril. Presencia sin corona ni carbónico de color marrón oscuro. Olfato roasted malts café y especias. En boca (no encontré ni el chili ni la calabaza en el estómago si), entra dulce y cafetosa. Final largo, seco y agradable

At BBF on tap. First off all this is not an usually Imperial Stout. It’s rather weak compared to others. The flavor is diferent and special with the chile but the beers haven’t a good ballance. The aroma wasn’t too great either. It reminded me of dirty and acid.Maybe would be a better beer without hot spicy.

bouteille 33cl, lot#12487, BB ?
