Bottle at Monday Club Zurich. A sour stout and well done, very nice. Lighter nose than one might expect. Very nice! fiulijn (21516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 6, 2011
Courtesy of Philippe (Bov); the bottle is about one year oldbeerlady (556) - lucerne, SWITZERLAND - APR 14, 2009
It pours a black color, with a generous creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malts. The body is lean, there is a mild flavor of toasted malt, toasted nuts, with a very light sourness that adds some dynamicity; it never exceeds in a too ashy side. Correct bitterness. Balanced, enjoyable.
blach as night but the head is dissapearing superspeedy
smells of malt, caramel and hidden dried fruit and a artificial alcohol note
tasts of malt, hidden dried fruits, caramel and artificial alcohol note
aftertaste is some malt, rather sweetish and the alcohol is more artificially than warm even ahint of plastic
12 swiss francs for the bottle of 0.75 litres from the brew-restaurant stadthaus in huttwil- too expensive for a beer of this not so outstanding quality Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 11, 2007
Dark red colored, little yellow head. Skunky aroma with some glue and mild licorice. Medium bodied. Flavor is better with roastiness and some coffee, caramel also with slightly drying aftertaste. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2007
Bottled (thanks Bov!). Dark brownish colour, small beige head. Aroma is sweet raisins, malts and some wood. Flavour is wooden, sour and slightly acidic fruity. Some slightly roasted notes are also to be found. Wouldn’t recognize this one as a schwarzbier...

Nut brown color, small off-white head. Caramelly, lightly toasted aroma. Acidic, toasted malty, a bit caramelly-sticky mouthfeel. Grassy hops in the aftertaste.
Bottled. Dark but brown, creamy head. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied, Very fruity with artificial cloying flavour of syrup, toffee and molasses as well as bread and saccharine. No bitterness. I suggest a name change to "Beer of the Drain". sayravai (4711) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUN 30, 2007
(Bottled, 0.75l) Very dark reddish brown with a small, fading head. Roasty, slightly alcoholic and licoricey aroma - not quite delicious, but interesting for sure. The flavor is more conventional, with roasty malt and slight smokiness. Medium-bodied, slicky palate with low carbonation. Strange for the style, but in its own way quite pleasant. bought at the Biertage 2007; labeled as top fermented Schwarzbier using mais - pours a very dark brown colour with a fast disappearing head; slightly toasted with notes of butter, caramel and diacetyl; sweet and medium-bodied at best; low carbonation; residual sweetness with a long caramelish finish - has about anything you can do wrong with a Schwarzbier
