Boreft Beer Festival 2012. Red amber with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma with citrus, especially tangerine, and pineapple. Dryish malty flavour with fruity character and a yeasty note

[email protected], Stockholm. Orangeish amber colour with a mediumsized beige head. Aroma is berries, fruits, wood, yeast, spices and some mild herbal notes as well as mild farmyardy notes. Flavour is fruity, bready, caramelly, toffeeish with some yeasty, mild dusty and quite nice hoppy notes in the finish.

Tasted at 4th BBF @ De Molen. Golden copper pour. Aroma is spicy, hoppy, some fruits. Flavor is bitter, slightly sweet, great balance, very clean. Lovely brew.

hirigalzkar (3158) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 6, 2012
Draught @ Akkurat. Pours a beautiful dark orange color with a creamy white head. This beer is fruity, yeasty, burned and bitter of hops... at the same time. This is how I would have guessed a saison from Stone would have tasted like. A bit too heavy to be as drinkable as you expect of a saison, but on the other hand - quite interesting.

finol (3389) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2012
Draught at Akkkurat. Pours light mahogny with a big head. Nice saison yeastyness, well hidden behind lots of malt and hops. Good taste but too much taste and alchol to be a drinkable saison.

TheJestersBeer (2430) - SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2012
Draught. Rating #1200. Pours a deep amber, slight haze, off-white head. Hoppy, fruity aroma, strawberries, hops, apricot, phenols, malt, peach, faint smoke (?), quite spicy. Off-dry, medium to full bodied, high bitterness, creamy CO2. Fruity, spicy, phenolic taste, malt, apricot, spruce, yeast, strawberries, faintly smoky off(?)-flavours, slightly sour notes. Very strange, worlds away from a Saison, can’t really find anything in common with that style. Quite interesting, and oddly enjoyable nevertheless. (2012-10-05)

Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 5, 2012
On tap at Borefts 2012, Bodegraven. Poure clear, vibrant red-gold with a fine, white cream head. Nose holds faint berries, a bit of yeast, light toasty dough. Big sweet flavor, some berry tang, faint leafy hops. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Moderate warmth to finish with yeasty and bready malts. Doesn’t really come together, and it’s a bit too heavy.

3.6
Benzai (15608) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - OCT 4, 2012
Draught @ Borefts 12. Clear orange to copper color, medium sized off-white to beige head that lasts for a decent while and leaves a fair lacing. Aroma is light to moderately malty, light to moderately hoppy, lightly flowers, lightly perfume, lightly yeasty, some fruits, some dark fruits. Taste malts, dark fruits, slightly sweet, lightly yeasty. Lightly oily texture, light to medium body. medium carbonation.
