A bit subtle aroma of roasted and a bit burnt malts, coffee, some chocolate, wood and hops.
Taste is first sweet with coffee, chocolate and a bit of dark fruit. Then comes a quite burnt woody dry bitterness. Finishes very dry and bitter. Medium to a bit weak in body. Very mild carbonation. chibuck (3513) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 28, 2011
Bottle into a Närke tulip at the brewery with Hans.
The beer pours a dark brown with a very light tan head about two fingers of light lacing...The aroma is light not typical porter smells of coffee or chocolate, mostly very fresh hops, and a light metallicness at the finish...The taste was light, but easy to drink, not much flavor a hint of hops but that was it. Hans said it was old so we moved to the next beer. I didn’t think it was bad so I’d love to try a good one.
