Dark amber in color with a white head. Sweet toffee and caramel malt aromas with a bit of fruity hop character. Plenty of citrus aromas and some floral qualites, too. The flavor is a nice balance of sweet malt and hops. Toffee and caramel notes along with floral and citrus peel hops, hints of pine, and a mild bitterness.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2013 Amber coloured beer, ok head. Spices/herbs, some malts and caramel. Not totally what I was hoping for, to uninteresting. re-taste: have to add a bit, seems better als last time.

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. It’s a lightly unclear, amber colored beer tpoped by a small, dense, beige head. Sweetish and faintly meaty aroma with a forest-ish hint. Both aroma and flavor a bit dull I think, but there’s sure some forest present. The flavor has a caramel maltyness in the in back, and a forest touch up front, but as mentioned, rather boring. Full body, soft and smooth on the palate. Some bitterness in the finish. Boring, but sure drinkable, and it deserves the name. 120504

Draught at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Finland. Reddish amber colour with tiny off-white head. Sweet malty aroma. Served too cold. Have to wait... Sweet caramel malt, very sugary sweet flavour. Woody dryness. Alcohol. Liquorice drops. Disappointment. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Draught at Pikkulintu, 20120817) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramell and hops. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours had malts, spruce, sweetness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste had spruce, sweetness and bitterness. The beer was very sweet but the spruce sprout flavours balanced it quite well towards the end.
